Hi, can the sonos handle dts? Im split between the sonos and the bose soundtouch 300. And its a deal breaker if the sonos cant do it

The Playbar only support Dolby Digital (& Stereo). But many players can transcode DTS to Dolby Digital.

I haven't tested any of their recent stuff - but I loved their Bluetooth speaker - gutted I sold it.

@@TheTechnologyMan Thanks for the quick reply. Didn't expect one on an old vid. I found a DM5 reduced from $699 to $299 aussie dollars and thinking of buying it but trying to workout if they're any good first. They're made in Germany so I assume they're good quality?

If KZbin comments work I usually see any new comments - even on older videos :). Yes made in Germany - and pretty good quality in my experience but never tested the DM5.

Depends what sort of TV you watch - for films the DM100 has a built in Sub so may be preferable to you. It's a personal decision - I would recommend finding a local store to have a listen.

opinion is all we can really judge- because as you speak to us in your voice the camera mic stinks; therefore the sound we hear is also a big degradation- in essence this youtube comparison 'live' is a joke. SO we might as well just listen to you. speak.

My voice is being recorded by a quality Rode lavalier microphone. The comparison is from the camera mic but is just that - a comparison. The camera mic was preferable to the lav mic since I was picking up sound all around. Of course it's not going to compare to actually hearing it yourself, but may be helpful to some, together with my commentary and first hand experience of actually listening to both devices.

TTM, dont listen to that guy. You can clearly hear the difference of the balls dropping, listen at 1:13 and then listen and compare to 2:57
