Thanks for the vid. I plan to get a MacBook this year(fingers crossed) to upgrade my outdated laptop for school. I definitely love the idea of the ring and would definitely get one. It would definitely come in handle for sleep tracking since I always take my watch off at night. It would also be nice if it has a vibration/haptic feedback for notification alerts as well.

I was just about to say that one of the benefits would be monitoring your vitals while the watch is charging such as during sleep. I've purchased 2 different brands of rings and returned them both. Very disappointing apps and unreliable vitals. I went from the Series 7 to the original Ultra. I didn’t want to drop $800 for the Ultra 2, so I got a really good deal on the original Ultra, and there weren’t too many differences between the Ultra and the Ultra 2. Yes, I could have gotten the Series 9, but I was looking for a change of style, and plus I wanted the bigger screen size, and some of the different watch faces. I’m excited to see what Apple has up their sleeve for the anniversary of the Apple Watch come this September.

I tend to keep my gadgets til they just don’t work anymore….. yesterday I purchased my first IPhone. I had been using an old Samsung J series that honestly has been a FANTASTIC phone but wouldn’t run my apps anymore. I also have an iPad that’s so old that I don’t know which model it is.(1st Gen 9.7 pro I think. I know I bought it in 2016) Still going strong but I know its days are numbered because I have to keep it plugged in to run it. Battery I just about non-existent!) I’ll be trading my iPhone 14 pro for an iPhone 16 pro only if it comes in purple. Completely! Agree about the sleep part. I can’t wear my watch @ night because 1: it’s dead by then and 2: it’s uncomfortable lol. I would totally wear the ring though. I will possibly be purchasing apple’s newest iPad Pro for 2024 to replace my IPad Pro 11” 2 gen. It is invaluable to what I do for work. Also plans to replace the Apple Watch 6 with an updated version may be in the works. My Apple eco system is currently my go to for many things. However, when is Apple going to let us designate which device is primary Siri? Come on Apple. The iPad Siri should take precedent over the iPhone Siri IMHO.

The ring would be great if it included haptic alerts. Major benefit for medical purposes. For instance, if I needed to take medication as a reminder, haptic vibration could pulse 3-5 times for the alert. Also, for people that don’t like to have their phone on their body. In the construction industry or reading a book; maybe even a lifeline SOS for family members that need help if you’re always around loud machinery that prevents you from hearing your phone. The health data is fun, but not a major purchase reason for myself. The haptic function would be the only reason I’d own one or If I never had to change it because our body produces enough energy to keep it charged for the batteries entire life cycle “Bio thermoelectric generator can charge a small device of this size”. We do live in 2024 right? Wake up people.🚮

The ring isn’t out and you’re comparing battery charges? Don’t need Apple rings. Great tech out there now. Wife and I are using OURA rings -tracks sleep , 5 day charge, body temp monitoring, stress monitoring, activity tracking, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, inactive time, readiness, resilience and more. Other Ring tech out there as well. Not anti Apple, our family has all Apple tech - phones, iPads, iPad Pros, Macs and MacBooks Airs. You just don’t need to wait on the Apple ring

The reason I want MacBook Pro is to get my daily works in order with most incredible software in the industry that was being my all time favourite for presentation and day to day works. Matt, I’m new to your channel - let’s say fairly new. I’d buy an Apple ring in a heartbeat. My iPad, iPhone collection miss the MacBook and an Apple Watch is a non starter as I have two beautiful watches which don’t monitor my health. I’d love a ring but they aren’t available yet. I just got me a new AppleTV and HomePod and I’m waiting to hopefully a great new iPhone product in September to buy a new iPhone Pro because sadly the 15 Pro was not worth the money. But of course, I would love a new MacBook Pro as well 😊
