Love your videos. Creating music in Opz looks pure magic! So much power in such little box....without screens

Thank you very much. I love the OP-Z, it’s the best sequencer I have ever used. It’s so much fun!

Love OP-Z mic content! I recently got the I/O firmware and now I’m gonna use my OP-Z as a dedicated mic in my dawless setup!

Thanks! Yeah, the mic actually doesn't sound too bad.

Oh and muting (but sending) the sample on the tape track, didn't know you could do that!

Hey! Glad you learned some new stuff from this. It's good to know, which type of video are helpful to people.

Hej, i like to record my samples via the internal mic because, i like to combine the noisy samples mixed with my clear tunes from the OP-Z, oh and thanks for the button combo on the tape track for only listen to the effected sounds ;)

Hey, you're welcome! Yeah, that's a good way to do it noisy + clean = 💥

awesome as always. I know I asked you this before but, how do you get the app to appear above the op-z in your videos?
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I screen capture the app, then put it over the video and use the opacity setting darker color.

Another great video! I recently started using the mic to sample weird noises that I make (Aka me trying to sing notes) so that tuning trick will come in handy. Also just ordered the line module, so I’m looking forward to learning how to utilize it. Completely off topic, but what do you think about the Digitakt? It seems to have a lot in common with the OP-Z, at least as far as the sequencer and workflow so I’ve become interested in it. Although, for my abilities the OP-Z is probably more than enough :D
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I had the Digitakt for a very short time...and it is a very specialized sampler I would say. Not very versatile in my opinion. If you just sequence drums with it, it might be good. But as an all-in-one sampler, you need to use too many workarounds to make full songs in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend it for many people. Hope this helps to kill the gas ;)
@boringnation2 жыл бұрын
@@SONWU That was very helpful! Digitakt is no longer on my radar. I've been playing with the OP-Z all day today and actually got the Arturia Keystep a few hours ago.

I know it's off topic but is it possible to change the velocity of the trigs without using the pitch bending pad on the side?
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
Sure, the 4th step component from the left is for changing velocity!
@jasonalvarez72422 жыл бұрын
how did you record those chords into the op z without pressing all the keys at once?
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
When you hold down a step you can enter one note after the other to make chords.
@jasonalvarez72422 жыл бұрын
@@SONWU whoa this is a game changer and will speed up my workflow thanks 🙏

I mean, you took it from the last video on transitions! Was this recorded first but released after?
@DomDomPop2 жыл бұрын
As far as the mic, I use that M1 headset they made for the OP-Z, for the same kind of thing you did, and it works very well! Made a patch out of the dog barking on the OP-1 once lol
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are right. I made this video first, but I didn't want to cram it into one video. I can imagine the headset being very nice to use in that way. Also to include some live-vocals through the tape track maybe :)
@DomDomPop2 жыл бұрын
@@SONWU Yeah it makes sense to have it be a different topic haha. That’s a neat idea! I haven’t tried anything like that, but I bet there’s a lot of cool stuff you can do with it. It’ll be interesting to see when the line module gets here how I can route that mic audio and process it with different effects.
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
@@DomDomPop Same here, looking forward to that module ;)
