Lookin' good! Eager to see some of your tutorials and hope you can highlight some differences in why stepping up from the a6300 is truly worth it. Sadly bought mine a few months ago and don't feel quite ready to chock up the change for the upgrade.

Early indicators are that it's worth it "for some". The in body stabilization and the cache makes it more forgiving for portraiture and sports. For long-run video people, the overheating issue will be less of a problem. Beyond those things, which are significant, I do not expect the a6500 to shock me... so it's all going to depend on your needs. The a6300 is still a worthwhile option, even for those who are considering the a6500.

Jeff Ello - PhotonArmy.com Thanks for those tidbits! I'll definitely be intrigued to see your opinion over time on the added touchscreen and stabilization for video use. Keep up the excellent work!

i would like to see if IBIS is working good with metabones+sigma lenses...
@Photonarmy8 жыл бұрын
I can tell you it works well with the MC-11 adapter and sigma 50-100 and with my Sigma DG DN 30mm (emount). I also have a lot of vintage manual lenses and they work well too. From an IBIS standpoint, there *shouldn't* be any IBIS trouble with adapters.

thanks for the video... we are waiting for a real life test for IBIS and AF escpecially with Sigma 18-35 and MC11 for video (not stills) :)

George S I have the 50-100, I'll take it for a walk tomorrow. if it does well you can be sure the 18-35 will be better. I will note, however that the 50-100 focus breathes like an asthmatic, so AF will suck. also, the sigmas are quite loud on continuous AF so I don't know that I would suggest af in video at all.
