Sony A6600 Real World Review

I just ordered an a6600 with the sigma 16mm & 30mm (f/1.4) plus a full setup (3 nice lights, stands, umbrellas, rode mic, etc) and some other things like batteries, 256GB card, cold shoe (for the mic), ND filter, and white balance card ----- all for about $2200. B&H has the a6600 for $918 with an education discount. From the review videos I've watched, the sigma lenses are the best lenses you can get for the a6600 and happen to cost not too much. The a6600 with the sigma lenses should outperform the a7iii with the Tameron 24-75 because of the lower f-stop and glass quality -- even with the smaller APSC sensor vs full frame. The a6600 with sigma lenses are equivalent to the a7iii's full-frame with an f/2.1 24mm and 45mm lense (better than Tameron's f/2.8). So the grain will be more on the a7iii in this situation. Moral of the story, lenses matter a lot. It seems the new Sony 18-55mm lens isn't cut out for low light on an APSC sensor. Also, the cost of the Sony a6600 went down right after he posted the video. This is a really good review and I know to not get the new Sony lens now! I love the real world-ness of the review too. Lots of value there for me.

The new generation of a6xxx series cameras have grainier image than a6000. Sony did something to the sensors of these cameras. Even at the lowest iSO setting a6400/a6600 have more grains than a6000.

I also have my a6600, and for canon g7x user like me, its hard to get the best quality of video using a6600, even in auto mode, compared to my old g7x mark ii

@@BudionoSukses if you use something like sigma 16mm 1.4 & get that bokeh the video will feel more premium, 4k 24fps is obviously the best video quality this camera can produce but I mostly use 1080p 60fps when vlogging/hiking
