4K at 24fps also gives you the best video quality, since the camera is using the full width of the sensor. It starts with a 6K video and compresses it to 4K. One of the main reasons why I picked Sony!

The best video I needed to decide to go with the 6600 over the 6400. I was already 99% sold as I will use it for out in the field interviews so that extra battery life and the headphone monitoring jack are a must for me. But seeing the touch screen focus selection as well as the battery pack option makes the decision easy now. Hugely appreciated. Now to decide on the lenses. Thinking of getting the kit 18-135 lens and also the sigma 16mm 1.4 that everyone raves about. 👏🏻🙏

I just started my journey with a a6600 the 18-135 kit and the sigma 16mm f/1.4 . Thanks for all your series of videos it's helped me a lot. I'm here with you in Vegas too and with all the Virus stuff all the community outreach is on hold but I can't wait till everything opens back up and I can talk to you all for advice. Till then I guess the key phrase is "In it to win it,"so I'll just do what I can with what I know till the world opens back up to get some mentoring.

If you record a video will the display get darker as on A6300? And if you using 30fps at 4K what is showing on the display? On A6300 the display picture is without crop and if you start the video recording it jump in and you have to correct the lens adjustment to the object...really bad. Cheers DrDuu

Danny Kamhaji the mode dial at the top of the camera. When you click it to video, the camera is ready to roll video and when you’re on photo it’s ready to take pics!

I used an RX100 iii for filming videos so far and thought the quality wasn't too bad either 🤔 What's the advantage of the a6600 compared with the rx series? (apart from the interchangeable lenses, on which you'd have to spend quite some money too).

Haven't used that camera, but one of the things I see is that it doesn't have a mic input. Sony a6600 also has a lot better battery. In body Image stabilization. 120p slow mo, eye autofocus in video, and interchangeable lenses. Again, it's pricer, but worth it if you have the money.

I think it's worth mentioning that the Clearview Zoom only works in JPG not in raw, for photos. The eye/face sqaurebox, again, worth mentioning, yes it does work, but only 1080p, if you switch to 4k, you won't see it anymore or maybe the other way around.

@@nolanmolt Yes it does, I agree. But the actual box doesn't show on the monitor. on one of them. I think it's more related to the 4k. I think on 1080p you see everything on the monitor, while you're on the 4k, the camera only outputs clean HDMI when in 4k, so you can't really see the actual box tracking, but yes, it definitely works.
