The a7iii was a better camera for when it came out imo, but the a7iv is a decent upgrade still. Also I feel like this year, Sony made an actual 1dx competitor with the Sony A1 so there’s no need for them to make the camera as good because if they did, nobody would buy the A1. Also I get the feeling that the next generation Sony A7 camera will be a bigger upgrade as in around 3 years, cameras at it’s price will probably have specs similar to the A1. Next generation A7 is probably going to be the A1 but a little but worse with some changes like crop in 8k, worse evf, lower megapixels(35-45), no stacked sensor, etc only if Sony releases a new Sony A1.

Well said! Back in 2018 Sony was just focussing on making the best cameras possible at the cheapest price possible. But now with so many of their own models out, I feel like they are juggling more with making sure they don't compete with each other. And yea fingers crossed for the next generation of cameras!

I guess it depends on what you looking in the camera. A7iv is a hybrid camera, cripple is not the appropriate word for this I guess .😅✌🏻

I am glad I bought canon r6 with canon lenses adapter sigma tamron samyang lenses. Forget panasonic and fuji not ff vintage classic olympus is no more. Nikon going broke wannabee sony and cheap build lenses. Sony only expensive and G Lenses. A7iv 4k crop and not futureproof. Canon lenses ..ef efs m rf stm L series plus third party...sigma art tamron rokinon/samyang tokina. Before I also got the canon m50 with booster adapter.
