So after doing all wherever is black the camera picks it with some weird point when it comes to recording inside a room or a house.Any idea what i could do to have the image clearer and without the white like dust points on the black colors?

Idk why the dial that have the lock doesn’t work, does it comes off or anything like that, I never use it cause I have my camera by default but if I try to use it just doesn’t do anything? Any help idk if there is any extra lock or something like that

Hey ! Awesome content. I just received my Sony A7IV. But I can only choose frame rates for movies between 25,50 FPS. I do not have the option of 24 FPS. Do you know what I am doing wrong?

24 30 60 fps is for NTSC/ america 25/50 is for pal/ europe

maybe you already figured this out but you need to set up your camera in video recording mode (no photo) and also the operation dial should be at M (or anything except auto).

At 10:53 in the video you say to go the custom dial set up and select "video" but then all the custom buttons you choose, your camera is in the photo custom dial set up. ie custom dial set up 2/5 3 Drive Mode, that option doesn't exist in video custom dial set up. Am I correct? Shout I be setting up the same as you in photo and that transfers to video?

Hey? My apologies. I did accidentally set mine to photo. The settings will transfer over though, as long as you have that selected.

Sweet. Thanks Michael. Trying to find the best mode for filming skiing and then slowing it down. I think dial 2, mode XAVCS-I 4k in the 422 10 bit 4k 60p is the best option. Will make smoother slow mo correct?

What card do you use to record in XAVC S-I 4K mode? Also, what software do you use to open videos recorded in 4:2:2 10bit mode? When im trying to set this option, camera says i would need special environment to open it. And later when trying to open such video in davinci resolve, it simply does not work.

Unless I’m misunderstanding your question? Subject tracking is engaged just by pressing the screen and where you wanna track.

That could be because of your lens. Is it a manual/vintage lens? Or maybe the lens doesn’t go wider than 5.6?

My A7IV over heated during a wedding ceremony after 14min of recording in 4k30p SI

It really depends on the environment but my experience is most of the time you will be totally fine. I shot over an hour straight during a wedding ceremony (4k 10 bit 200mbit). This was in the summer with temperatures about 25 degrees Celsius. Some things you should do to minimize risk is set the temperature setting to high, flip out the screen and avoid the sun. Do that and don't worry about overheating.
