Been hearing people say that external dual iso is completely smashed, dual native @ 12800 no longer cleans up and its now at 1600 iso instead, lots of posts on the sony a7s3 reddit pages.

Yeah, can confirm this! Biggest issue seems like we cant reach the lowest base iso at 80, lets hope sony rolls out a fix soon.

My Sony A7 SIII camera has been updated to Firmware 3.0, but my 4K I DCI recording mode is not displayed, I don't understand why, please help me.

It broke ProRes Raw with Ninja V. There is an ISO mapping bug that Sony does not want to admit that renders ProRes Raw unusable with 3.0

Yeah, seems like they lowered the entire ISO range in Prores RAW mode which make the lowest native base ISO unreachable. Such a bummer, but the ISO Auto hack is a workaround for now. But such a douche move on Sonys part 😬 did they really feel the need to cripple the A7S3 like this?

@@martinleonlindstedt From the phone call I came with the sense that lowering native ISO wasn't intentional and there is some sort of mapping bug happening. That is why they need to gather evidence of it occurring for many people.

Prores Raw works fine for me with 3,0, mind sharing what the firmware broke?

They broke external raw recording to a Ninja V. The base iso is 80/1600 now instead of 640/12800. But the camera still thinks the base is 640, so you can’t go lower to the new base of 80 except with auto iso. This means 640 is ISO 5000 in external raw recording. Prores recording is unaffected.

Some people reported that AF is less accurate. Is it in your case too?

Ive been trying out my Tamrons 17-28mm and 28-200mm and everything seems fine, no pulsing or face recognition difficulties 👍

Sony had to FK up this update joy by removing percentage of non original battery witch is a BS.(this percentage is very important feature when filming) This artifical corporate Sht bothers me at sony. "Sony be more like Canon"

Agreed! I also have a sneaking suspicion they will not fix the Prores Raw dual iso issue and instead play dumb and go "we never marketed the A7S III as a dual iso camera - it works exactly the way it is suppose to now after the update". Using new firmwares to kill off features .. yuk! 😬
