Gracias Javier!👏🏻.I have no idea you can change touch to focus to focus tracking and even turn it off directly from the display! You make my workflow faster as there was no option to add this function to one of the physical buttons on the camera. Wonderful explanation. I struggled with eye AF not realizing in video you have to touch the face to get it started. Seems weird that Sony wouldn't just have you turn on face recognition and capture eye af with a half press of button?

Set your shooting mode from PAL to NTSC, use an empty card to set, as it need to restart and format the card. I think you would find the option then.

Hey Javier! Awesome video. One question if you don’t mind answering - we have a podcast on our channel and were looking into getting 3 cameras and shooting them all from multiple angles. Do you have any advice on how to switch camera angles live during a podcast? Is there like a machine or something you can buy that someone behind the scenes can press buttons on to switch the angles live? Or is it better to do it in post? Appreciate it!

I do all my camera switching in post (it is very easy to setup a multi-camera edit and switch cameras in premiere) . That being said, it is even FASTER to do the switching live. This isn't my strength though considering I do all my edits in post. I would defer to another KZbinr that may have more experience in this area Like Tom Buck or Zebra Zone and his review of the ATEM mini pro.

Thanks for the video I shoot solo and outside most often and my camera often has me in focus then flashes the focus on the background constantly so it totally ruins the shot. Any tips on this. I am often 9+ feet away from camera and cannot touch the screen and it does this microadjustments over and over again while recording in wide focus with face priority on

Widest focus area is good if you are moving around, can try increasing/decreasing af responsiveness. Try to be better lit than background.

Hi Javier, thanks for sharing this ! I've noticed a focus issue with my A7siii when filming some wide angle landscape shots, front lit. The AF-C (Large + Zone) seems sometimes to be "hunting", doing micro adjustments. This happens with both my Sony 24mm 1.4 and my Tampon 28-75mm, especially when shooting wide open. Wondering if some other A7siii users have also encountered this problem ?! NB. I have done the exact same shots with my good old A7iii, and here the AF-C worked perfectly

It's switching to Spot Focus, what's happening to you happened to me at 6:15 in the video. You need to step through to object/face tracking again like I did. Hope that helps!

yes, it will do object tracking, just tap the object on the screen, like I did with the light, object tracking was happening when I pulled the shirt over my head as well, it's kind of crazy how good it is.
