I got my X80J delivered today after scanning I still can’t get my local channels what do I do? Been using Samsung all these years and decided to switch to Sony right now it’s frustrating that I can’t get local channels with a simple touch on my remote control.

I connected my NES and N64 directly using the old RF connector this way instead of using an AV2HDMI adapter! It was fun to try but the lack of a game mode in that input kills it.

Firestick did it... You have to make live streaming channels work on android tv as well even for old models like w800d... Otherwise no use buying a open source operating system tv. Even fire tv stick is android based. Atleast 5 to 6 years of software update should be provided. Its open source software at the end of the day.

As of now, we do not have information as to when the update is going to be available. Please make sure to enable the Automatic Software Update on your TV to get the latest version. We also recommend visiting our support website Sony.com for future updates information and announcements. The ATSC/NEXTGEN TV (ATSC 3.0) tuner will support broadcasts in up to 4K resolution with up to 7.1. 4 surround sound, while also improving reception and allowing for new features such as on-demand video. I know this vid is old but I’m having issues getting any channels. I’ve tried it multiple times and even tried the cable option and still nothing. I got this tv from a family member and I factory reset it so I could start fresh but it just messed it up. My antenna is directional and "auto" does not catch my local ABC channel. I need to select 7.1 channel and play with antenna direction to tune is correctly. My old BRAVIA I could press 7.1 and tuner will stay on that channel even if there is no or weak signal. The "Android" built in BRAVIA is bad. If it does not find the signal in Auto scan it does not allow to select the channel. If I press remote with channel 7.1, it stay there for two seconds and move on to previous channel it was tuned to. I can not adjust antenna with this "smart" TV. Is there any way to select and hold on to the channel on this "smart" TV?

Please make sure to try that first as well by going to help > system software update > software update. Perform [Auto program] to add receivable channels. Why can't I receive HD channels when using cable? I am using the same cable with another older TV and it gets both analog and digital channels. But with XBR-905f, digital channels are greyed out when I use Cable. I do not have an antenna. Please help.
