Hey bro thanks for the video. As I was not satisfied with my sony 5.1 dav dz150 bass yeh i mean to say the lows as the mids and hi was not an issue with the set up. And after watching your video I have replaced the original passive subwoofer that came with the system with an Rockford fosgate P2 D2 12 inches and the bass is awesome. And I agree as you said that we must match the impedance (ohms) of subwoofer with the amp ( it's very very much important) I had connected the sub in series bcoz the amp has 3 ohms and the sub was 2 ohms with single coil connection and last time before studying about the impedance i had connected the same sub in parallel as it is an dual coil sub and it applied 1 ohms of load to the amp and it burnt my IC in couple of minutes and i had to repair it by replacing all 3 IC's . Then later watching your video before few days I had again dare for replacing the sub and had given the connection in series then it was giving 4 ohms load to the amp and now it was matched perfectly and the bass I am getting out of it is mind blowing it just shake everything in the living room. sony is the best i have been using my sony xplod 12 inch sub last me for 11 years still works well i got me a 400w rms disco amp sends strong bass to it i also have video of my sony but i'm gonna modify its box soon to make it even cooler but sony is the best there is a reason why its called a high powered subwoofer works well with my home theater amplifire this is my favorite video ever dude!!! keep up the great work dude

Yes, bro, absolutely, it will work but I am not sure how it will sound like since the DZ290K subwoofer is rated at 140W vs 280W on 390K and because of the Ohm mismatch you would lose some power.

Bass tube sounds better, the bass is deeper and feels more powerful. However the amp isnt powerful enough to drive the tube at its rated power!

I think Sony default h/theater speakers are not the best. Eg bdv-e3100,3200,4100 and 6100.The amp can give 250watts @ 3 omhs(sub channel) yet the default factory is 6omhs. So,with a better sub like one used in this video, u get more from uo system.

You don't need a car amplifier to connect it with these subwoofers, I have connected it directly to the home theatre. Look for ohm rating on your system and make sure it's 4 or below, then you are good to go, I have no idea how much is the sub rated at for DZ340K, check the ohm rating and the wattage in the manual.

Doesn't work that way! You will need to check the impedance of your soundbars subwoofer output, if it's higher than the bass tube then it won't work, also look at the power output, if it's lower than 150W RMS, then there won't be enough power to drive the sound bar. 😊

That is true! bass tube gives you boomy bass, a sealed box will give you tighter bass. It depends on the type of music you want to listen to, if you listen to rap/hip-hop then bass tube is the way to go, for anything else sealed box.

I have a sony xplod sub (xs-nw1202e) and it works fine with my amp but before you buy one of these check your amps subwoofer output power. This sub’s rated power is 300 and rms 420w and if the rms power output is close to the 420 you have a green light Note that you do some research and not buy a sub instantly

I think the amp has gone into protection mode because of the mismatched ohm rating. Unplug it and leave it for a few minutes and it should reset and turn back on.
