Who buys a "Blue Ray Disc player" if you aren't going to use it for playing DISCS??? If I want anything on the internet, I go to my computer!! You never said anything about the disc playing ability of the device.

Are you able to change the region on these? I know some Sony players allow you to change the region a limited number of times. I want to get one and change the region and I don’t care if it’s locked after that. I just want a cheap region b player.

It plays Blu-rays, there's nothing else to really mention... That's the least interesting part compared to the media player functions.

last year I got one of these from my old uncle, he didn´t use it at all that one was built around 2014, and it came with the Brasil world cup 😂sticker, any feature..., anyway, Now in 2022 it's still alive

I no longer have the S1100 on hand, I only have the S5100 (link is in the video description) and I just tested srt, it worked. I can't guarantee it, but if the S5100 plays srt then there is a very high chance the S1100 will as well (again, I'm not 100% sure about this). On my 47" TV the subtitles were a decent size, no trouble reading from a viewing distance of roughly 14'.

You should talk more about the blu-ray's disc play & quality people buy this for the region free blu-ray part ( some are not region free I know that ) & not to watch youtube or netflix on it it does not matter that much XD we all got a pc / laptops

KZbin and Netlifx app works horribly slow. The only one way to use KZbin smoothly is to navigate KZbin via tablet/smartphone and later play the video on Sony blu-ray. The Netflix app is badly designed. I must say I am a bit disappointed but when I think about player's price I realize that it's too cheap to be enough good. But the Blu-ray disc player works ok. Can't say anything bad about it.

same. if you lost the remote you need to buy a replacement or a universal one, otherwise, with the unit itself it can still play movies and blue ray with the unit buttons

I have one of these babies its a pretty good player, but I have one question, I recently started to burn some AVCHD dvd+r disks to play hd video files from a disk on this player however when I insert the disk it comes up as a AVCHD DVD+R just fine but when I press play to begin the movie the screen goes black for a second then goes back to the main menu, what could be the problem I know its not the disks because they play fine on my other player
