mrbrainchild76 it's great. Being an android tv, I use Chromecast a lot. Netflix works great. Video presets are great. Good sound. You can stream 4k movies via Kodi app too. Great viewing angles.

man i wish every tv company would just use android tv on their tvs instead of their own smart tv softwares. because they never consistently update it and not all apps, like plex, are in it.

2cool0 I think Androids has issues, here in the USA, we have a video streaming service called Vudu (owned by Walmart) that allows you to buy 4k Videos with hdr dolby atmos sound. however because of the limited nature of Android, you can't stream your 4k content from Vudu on the Sony Google vudu app, it can only do 1080p? In order to get Vudu in 4k, I had to purchase a roku ultra to watch my Vudu 4k movies on my sony. So I spent almost $7000 for an 4k tv, and need to spend another $129, in order to watch vudu 4k material on my sony. The problem is Android. Although you can stream in Amazon and Netflix from tv. What happened to Sony Streaming 4k service?

Michael Walker well i don't know if that's an android issue. could just be a hard ware issue? because you can watch other apps in 4k right? like netflix is 4K.

Michael Walker ok i want to know does netflix play at 4k on that tv? because then maybe it's just something with vudu because thats pretty lame if you paid 7k for a 4k tv and the smart tv features don't even allow 4k streaming.

Fabulous video! I have a Bravia X800D on the way. I currently use Plex/Netflix/KZbin etc all from my Xbox 1, but since they are all available on Android TV I'll try them out, and using HDMI ARC back to the receiver I wouldn't even need my XB1 on anymore for these functions. Thanks for the video, it's really helped!

It would be really helpful to have an up to date video for more recent Sony Bravia TVs. We have just bought a 2020 model with two tuners to allow for recording to HDD - many of the online help articles on the Sony website are no longer valid for this TV, and the online manual is not very user-friendly.

Hello Nick and thank you for the great run through. I just bought a Sony XBR65X930d, and it looks really great. Two things - when I use the voice search I get this really loud beep, which I just can't seem to get rid of permanently - it is really loud and annoying, and I hope I can just get rid of it in the setting; I just haven't been able to find where. Also, is there a way to change the background on the Android home page - I find it really bland and boring, and keep seeing screen shots with beautiful backgrounds, and would like to do the same. Otherwise, with my Harmony remote this tv is not only easy to use, but is beautiful, especially with 4K from Netflix and HDR; it even upscales really nicely. Thanks. r

Because the PS4 NEEDS its own system to function smoothly. Android would eat all the system resources. The PS4's OS is designed to shut down most of the functions so it can dedicate all of it's power to the game.
