Should I buy the new Sony Hta8000 or get hta7000 soundbar?

Does it come with the mounting bracket for the Sony Bravia 9 tv? And how does this compare to the Sonos system?

@@jaygolden4218 the only mounting bracket it comes with is for a wall mount. Anything else will need to be purchased separately. I don't have the Sonos, so I cannot make a comparison.

Night mode is for less bass at night if your trying to be quiet when u have a sub connected and you don’t have to put the sub in front of the tv you can put it behind the couch or in a corner it’s wireless just needs power

The subwoofer volume only shows low, medium, and hign on the soundbar, unless you have tge subwoofer connected. Then it will go up and down like you expect it to.

Why on earth is the soundbar above the tv? There is a setting to set the height of the sound field, meaning you can have the bar on a unit and the tv wall mounted, then adjust the field height to match. Sound Field is using the 360 Spatial Mapping to place virtual speakers in the room. With it off you get the raw unaltered sound via the source. 5.1 will be 5.1 but with Spatial Field on you get 5.1 with Spatial Mapping and it works incredibly well, far better than the previous generation of Sony sound bars. Night mode is the same on virtually every piece of home theatre kit ever; it removes the LFE so you can listen at night with no bass to disturb others.

@@aznhandles It's above the TV because I didn't want to damage the sound bar by swinging my desk chair into it, which it would have been at exactly the same height as the chair back if it were below the TV. Besides, it calibrates the sound based on your seated position, so while it may not be ideal, it's likely less of an issue than it may be otherwise.

Is this the 1st soundbar you have ever set up? You can't possibly assess the capabilities with that weird room openings everywhere - strange ceiling - and mounting it above the TV? Seems suboptimal to say the least. 🥴👎

It is a first for this TV mounted on the wall. Others have been in more regularly shaped rooms and in entertainment units. While it's not ideal, I didn't want to damage the sound bar by swinging the chair into it, which it would have been at exactly the same height as the chair back if it were below the TV.

Sony made a really ugly and cheap looking speaker bar with this one. No way in hell is this thing an upgrade on the A7000. Dont care if it sounds better, it is just a lame quality speaker, and no digital readout…lmao. Pretty embarrassing for a Sony. Very glad I bought two new Sony A7000 on clearance when I heard this turkey was coming in
