@@gurpinder7988 according the news, Xiaomi will start delivery next months, 24th Feb 2024. Production started in December 2023. So the Xiaomi car is ready. By the time Sony released the car and shipped it to the customer, maybe Xiaomi was already making more improvements (like higher motors that are already on their pipeline), or maybe a new model.

Extremely good point. VR/AR will never take off until it’s able to be worn freely in public or social settings. We can make huge leaps in the tech if we make it accessibly to the everyday person and not just the niche computer gamer. Generationally impactful things like this need buy in from everyone, INCLUDING legacy companies. Large retailers, restaurants, etc. Similar to products like the BlackBerry or the iPhone, AR/VR needs to become an unmissable societal wave that will apply pressure to anyone who isn’t buying in.

I used to ask myself this when game developers who are clearly not in sales & have bad english try to pitch their game, so i asked my Japanese friend and she said it basically comes down to the fact that Japanese companies want you to know they are Japanese, there are many reasons ranging from plain patriotism & tradition, they think they can represent their product more gracefully than any paid english speaker could (comes of as disingenuous), all the way to more complicated things like people generally understanding that when something is "made in japan" it typically means it's of higher quality etc
