I just tried uploading my first video with the X3000 to KZbin and it looked horrible. What settings do I record so that my KZbin upload doesn't look so distorted? What if I wanted to record in 4k? How do others get their KZbin videos with the x3000 look so good?

I actually figured out that KZbin sometimes takes a couple days or a few days to process a 4k video

used to own a AS300(the non 4k version of the x3000 with the same boss technology), here are some cons i can think of for the x3000 if you want to buy it in 2019, 1.it can shoot 4k, but only at 30fps, thats the main reason i passed on the x3000 and chose the AS300, cause 30fps ain't enough for activities which involve fast shifting scenes, i mainly ride bicycles, so thats a no for me. 2.to this day it still has the best microphone/aduio, but at the same time, it's the one that picks up wind noise the easiest out of all the cameras, and the built in wind cancel option really isn't that good, you def need to put a deadcat on the microphone 3.as you mentioned, stabilzation isn't on par with other cameras during day time, with it's optical + electronic stabilzation(active mode), you can still easily notice little shakes at the left and right edges of the videos you shoot.

I would agree with all of those points. Gopro hero black 7 thingy has much better stabilisation. The thing is, this is easy to use (The Sony) and the batteries can be easily replaced. Not so with the Gopro, the battery copmartment with those silly ribbons is not built for regular use. the goPro is built for maybe once a month day trip type stuff, for filming less than an hour each month. And then you charge the battery up in the case. I needed something that can be used for HOURs each day and replace the batteries instantly. Check my latest videos to see what the Sony can do!

I'm using this camera for my fishing trips for couple of years now. The ability to have it mounted on baseball cap and plugged to powerbank at the same time is what I need. Recently I have done really deep research to switch for something newer - maybe gopro 10 and one thing decided I'm keeping my sony - During fishing I want to record hours of footage - mostly boring :) waiting until the catch - this camera does it without ANY problems - and when I see in new cameras reviews sentences like "yeah, this camera overheats after 16 minutes but who films more than 5 minutes traight anyway?" - I know - I shoot more than 16-30 minutes. There is literally no other camera on the market that is so reliable in terms of overheating, freezing, crashing. Yeah - surely I like super smooth stabilization of new gopros but if you want just click and record it's still the best - which is kinda sad.

I have this Camera and use it with a ZHIYUN Smooth III Gimbal(Steady Shot on) and their is nothing out there that compares to this Stabilization setup! I can run and you wouldn't know it!

I have been useing the FDR 3000 all through summer months on my motorbike , the mode is in mp4 have have not had any problems, have you any comment on this mode to compare with another...........

I've found the MP4 mode is the best,because you can record the most in that mode, and it's pretty much exactly the same quality as the HD mode, I don't know what the difference is

yeah every camera looks good on sunny day, but x3000 has out dated image quality. will sell it and might get something to remove that fish eye that's pretty nauseating. btw, gopro much better image and dji action too...but again, their sensors are as good as any mobile, or iphones have even better video quality than all of them, so no need for this type of camera. the one I would get might be a7iii to step up the game or rx100 but that's expensive for small camera
