@@latsypie at this point I just bought a new battery, luckily enough nearly every Sony handycam battery is compatible with eachother so we don’t really have to look for one that’s specific to our model. Look around u will find one for a good price 👌

Thanks, best advice so far, now I know why people get rid of their old Sony camcorders, I went to my neighborhood goodwill outlet store and bought 3 that were donated at a bargain price for resell, none of them can charge even Sony batteries, all they do is beep and flash lights.

The title of this video says Sony Handycam HACK well it’s not a hack if you are not doing a hack instead you bought another battery and then went and bought a battery charger dude that’s not a hack a hack would be a 9v battery 2 paper clips one connected to the + and one connected to the - and hooked up to the camcorder battery that would be a hack

.....and the hack is to purchase a cheaper generic battery but to not drain it less than ¾ (ambiguous) for the camera system to be tricked into charging it.

hey i have the dcr-sx40 and my battery stopped working. the camera only works with the charger connected. i bought a new battery and tried to charge it and the light flashes, witch means its defective. but its genereic and new. if i get the charger you suggested do you this will solve my problems ? please respond asap.

I have a Sony camcorder ccd-trv308 with a NP-FM50 battery. When using the camcorder charger it says the battery is fully charged. But when I use the battery the camcorder does not work. Tested it with a different battery and the camcorder works fine. Guess I need to charge the NP-FM50 on another type of charger. Can you tell me the brand or model number of the charger you used in your video. There are all types of chargers on eBay and I want to get the correct one. Thanks, Gary

How do I repair the side screen display flip out door on my Sony DCR-SR200 cam? When I close the display screen it wont stay closed and swings open. When it was new it firmly stayed closed even if I shook it, now it easily swings open if I barley hold the camera on its side.

Hi, had you try to open the old Batterie Pack and look at the Chip/Electric? Use on a Custom DIY Accupack with Li-Ion Cells? :)

I have a newer sony it has the info H battery I have found about the same thing my batteries are old hard to find now but they will only charge to 90% on the Sony charger but then I put it on the one like yours it will take it the rest of the way to 100% now on mine cam batteries like what u got it wont read them when u push the button that is the down fall there is a chip in mine to some ginric batteries wont work at all what to try those Kester battery some time but on yours you might want to watch the sony battery when you are using the off brand charger it might shorten the life or not read the chip so time the charge next time take it off then dont wait for the light to go to charge trust me it will shorten the life of the Sony battery by half in time. but still char Alos ger to full but half the time using it. I hope u can make since of this. also if you find a OEM battery on ebay make sure it isnt old they do have a life span the longer it sits even new the shorter the life Im finding that out to I have bought some from like 6 years ago cause mine are getting hard to find they have sat in the package on the self but I only get like 100 full chage's out them then they go bad. there is a web siter call battery sience it will tell u what u need to know.

Good deal double wide. I also have a Sony handycam.. Larson extra external charger like you have. I also have a couple of extra heavy duty batteries like you have. Everything works great on that external charger. Keith Kuhn KK motion pictures Also on KZbin.
