Restarting the TV with the long hold on the power button did it for me. Before that it showed no wifi channels to choose from. Great video.

Tony, all our devices were connected and functioning but the Sony tv in the bedroom would not hold the connection or it would say try again. As a last resort I went to youtube and saw your post. I tried holding the on and off button on the remote down for the tv to cycle off and on, than I went to wifi setting and cycled it off and on a couple times lol. Bingo, thank you so much. It had been 24 hours of a dead tv in the bedroom, thanks again.

Hello, I have a Sony XR-55A80J which was installed Sep 2022. Tonight for some reason, it began asking me to log on to Google although it had been operating just fine before that. Is it necessary to log on to my Google account or is there some way to by pass this step?

To avoid this from happening again, you may consider not connecting the television to the internet, this will help you to avoid getting notifications from apps that are connected to the internet or apps from Google. Current bug with the tvs. About once a day the wifi setting turns off and stays off until a complete tv reset is done. After the latest VRR update I have to restart the TV daily. Hope it gets fixed.

Do I have to unplug ethernet cable if internet is not working to connect to Mobile Hotspot through wifi or it will automatically detect that internet through Ethernet isn't working properly?

We've tried multiple times to connect a SonyX80K to our wifi network. The rep at Best Buy said it doesn't matter that our modem and router is at the other end of the house and not next to our TV. The TV picks up the SSID name (wifi network name) but it won't successfully connect. Help!!!! Thanks!

Do not buy this TV, i'm running the latest software and my wifi keeps turning off once a week and i have to unplug the tv to turn it back on. Sony support is useless. its almost as if they dont test the TV before shipping it
