Hello, For a combination of Sony speakers XS-162ES at front & XS-160ES at rear, which is a suitable amplifier among Sony XM-GS4 or XM-4ES? I require to get crystal clear sound only with some good bass. I am NOT looking for very loud sound. What are the extra things to get from XM-4ES over XM-GS4, is it only loudness or the output is far better in terms of clarity? Is it worth the price if I install XM-4ES or XM-GS4 will meet my requirements? Please let me know. Thanks!

Our research department did not find enough room in the stock mounting locations to take these speakers. If a custom work is done to make room for them, then it is best to install an aftermarket amp to power them. The reason is that the stock speakers have a lower impedance than these speakers. These speaker will pull less power than the stock speakers and at this level, that will produce a noticeably reduced volume level which will lead to an overall, lower sound quality.

It can work but that is less power than we recommend giving it for best clarity. The Sony ES subwoofer can handle up to 450 watts RMS and we recommend a minimum of 70% of that top RMS watts. The ideal amp should output 315-450 watts RMS for the sub.

We are not able to research a peugeot to know what can fit into it. The Sony ES speakers are better at producing a clearer sound than the Pioneer speakers. If you can run a subwoofer with them, you will have the best of both of those aspects of audio. If you cannot and the preference between them is the best bass, the Pioneer speakers are better. @crutchfield2 жыл бұрын
We hate to hear about your experience with their support. An approach that works for powering them in an active setup is to get amp/amps which output the total RMS watts of the component speaker on each channel. This process works because the audio being output by the amp is not full range which reduces the watts being output by the amp on each channel
