I’m glad someone shares the frustration from this cheap built machine. Tried to adjust the speed - no longer rotating. deciding if I should figure out why it won’t spin, or just leave it alone. spent $20 on mine

Motor might be dead. Check voltage first.

Yeah I’ve been trying to get it to work and have now bought speakers and a dang preamp and the thing still sucks. It just hums a ton. Honestly think I’m just gonna return all of this stuff and just invest into a nice player

I have this model. And the STOP button doesn’t work anymore. Opened it up and I can’t tell how to fix it. Seems like the thin metal rod doesn’t push or engage anything. Any advice would be great.

Good luck. This dude don't seem to respond. I just got one that was working, too fast. Now it's not spinning. The motor still making noise and the belt is attached. What a POS

I inherited this turntable and it didn't run properly. Thanks to this video I was able to get it working. Thanks.

First turntable I bought. Paid 110$. It was definitely a POS. Added its own hum to all records. In auto the arm definitely dropped like a hammer. Eventually the revolution of the turntable slowed down and it was time for an upgrade. Only worth owning if it's free and you have no other options.

Found one at a goodwill for $20. Seems like it was never touched, but I’m saving this video for when I need it

This video was very helpful in making it less intimidating to take this thing apart. Thanks!

This guy snubs this entry level. turntable. Sorry buddy. Not everyone can afford to be a snob. Still better than a crosley cruiser.

I get that structurally it's unimpressive but it actually sounds pretty good.

Feeling the same way, I came here for service advise not 10 minutes of abuse on not being able to afford something better. Get over yourself.

Yeah he talks a lot of shit, but the only reason I'm on this video is because mine finally stopped working...after 13 years lol. Wow such a bad turntable lol

If you watch the channel you can get deals on way better built vintage units that will cost the same amount of what this unit cost. He’s not lying about how crappy this unit is but if you get it as a starter and upgrade along the way that’s part of the journey. Btw, paying more than $20 on a new Crosley is also not a wise decision, but to each their own.

I have this exact TT opened up and trying to get it fixed for my daughter. Belt was off. Can I use WD 40 for oil and what kind of alcohol are you using for belt clean? Wish me luck and THANK YOU!
@TurntableGuy7 ай бұрын
Don't use WD40 as a lubricant. It is more of a cleaner than a lubricant. Use a light machine oil or 3-in-1. You can use rubbing alcohol or isoprophyl alcohol.

The START BUTTON does not send power to TT motor. Have to plug and unplug it for power. Ugh

What kind of alcohol and oil? Thanks.

Isoprophyl alcohol. Light machine oil for electric motors. 3-in-1 oil will work.

Truly a worthless piece of crap, but I have it too, and being a novice-amateur and all, couldn't figure out for the life of me what was wrong with it till i watched your video. So thanks a bunch and keep up your good work and honest opinion! )

Agreed. I've been fucking with one for hours. Was working but playing to fast even on 33 mode. Now the plate won't spin at all. The motor is making a little noise but won't spin. If I give it a little nudge it will spin for a second then stop. This pos is about to piss me off

Its an entry level turntable almost identical in functionality to Audio Tech ATLP60. Its not supposed to be an audiophile's best friend. Its Zen is that it is bare bones.

I have the 250. Got it for nothing. Worked fine. Got a new needle. Then nothing. When you pull up on the belt drive thing coming out of the motor you get a little resistance and that’s it.
@TurntableGuy2 жыл бұрын
Motor is probably dead. You can hook up some external DC power to it to see if it spins. These decks are very low quality.
