cool video man - i just picked a used one up *fingers crossed* it works 100%...my main purpose for purchasing this model is to capture Digital 8 & MiniDV tapes using firewire and dumping them to DVD. hope to see some nice images via HDMI as well. ALSO - is the S-Video Input compatible with the DVD-RW and will record S-Video. ... surprised there wasn't any component video input, but it is what it is.

I never tried the S-Video out, just the HDMI, Mine worked really nice., everyone asked me if i could watch the VHS with HDMI and yes it did work also.
