The difference between the Venom movies and the rest of the Sony Spider-Man movies without Spider-Man is that Venom is the only character that they've made in this universe that has been a leading character before in Venom: Lethal Protector. The rest have never carried a film before. 4:31 Fun fact Morbius was supposed to be in the first Blade movie but his scenes got cut. BTW if you wanna see that closest thing to a good Morbius movie watch season 2 of Spider-Man The Animated Series. 6:57 The thing that makes Kraven interesting is that no one challenges him except for Spider-Man and he easily conquers all his other foes Spider-Man is the only one that can beat him so he is obsessed with Spider-Man because Kraven hates the idea of a beast he wasn't able to kill, so if you don't have Spider-Man in your story you can't have the character actually be Kraven with him being beaten and a falling action is important for any story/structure.

I haven't seen Madame Web yet, but hey, I know what the idea is. 5. Venom(Honestly, I like the idea of a Venom movie. He's an interesting character on his own, even without Spider-Man, and the movie itself does some cool stuff with the idea of symbiotes, so that's cool) 4. Venom: Let There Be Carnage(Yeah, a sequel to Venom makes sense and it's a cool idea to bring Carnage in there) 3. Morbius(He's a pretty low level character, but if they actually made this into a horror movie with a Jekyll and Hyde type angle, it would be pretty cool) 2. Kraven the Hunter(Kraven doesn't seem interesting enough to carry a movie because of how one dimensional he is, but at the very least, I think the movie could be kind of a fun adventure. The general idea isn't great, though) 1. Madame Web(This is a character that I've never heard of before the movie was in development and the idea that it doesn't seem interested in the actual character is really stupid. I also think Adam Scott is a great choice for an older Peter Parker, but now they can't really do that because he was thrown into this weird project) Edit: I've seen Madame Web now and I stand by my initial ranking. Also, ranked by stupid is a very funny line to put in a thumbnail.

Sony isn't even trying with these movies. They released quite a few very good Spider-Man movies back in the day, but as a studio, they have devolved into the bottom feeder of comic book movies. It's one thing to have a low budget and do the best you can with what you have, but they're not even lifting a finger to add any quality to these movies, it's like they're just hoping to piggy back off of the success of the MCU. These are among the worst movies that I've ever seen in any genre.

I don’t see the problem with making Kraven and Morbius anti hero’s. I only bring it up because a lot of the KZbin videos I’ve seen have said the same thing. That these characters are meant to be villains, “not misunderstood”. I’ve only seen the 90s Spiderman cartoons, and in the cartoon Kraven and Morbius are actually misunderstood “villains”. Kraven and Spiderman even help each other. Morbius teams up with blade to hunt vampires too. So is this like a comic book thing where these two guys never become good and are just villains?

Heres my ranking: 1. Kraven: don’t think making this movie before his encounter with spider man will work but we’ll see. 2. Madame Web: I actually like how the movie is sort of final destination as a comic book movie but I feel like it’s stupid that the villain is just now hunting down the people we knows will kill him instead of just doing it straight away. 3. Venom 3: I like that it will take place in the MCU but I am worried that it will affect venoms violence despite the first 2 being pg-13. 4. Venom: Like Kraven, I don’t think it was smart to have the villain movie before the movie where they fight Spider-Man but I think the first movie proved that it was possible. 5. Venom 2: venom vs carnage will always be an appealing idea for me. 6. Morbius: I think the movie could have been amazing if it took the concept and made the movie about 2 men taking advantage of their new found lives with the vampire part being a metaphor for their new found lives.

1. Aunt May (sounds terrible) 2. Madame Web, (from what I keep seeing about it, it just sounds dumb even with some possibilities) 3. Kraven (he’s a villain, he’s not an anti-hero) just nope) 4. Morbius (if he had been developed in a Blade story or another Spider-Man film, he could have been interesting) 5. Venom films. While he is connected to Spider-Man and you feel that, I think they found a cool way to make his solo films work for the most part)

These Spider-Man without Spider-Man movies are the cinematic equivalent of the Batman without Batman TV shows. But at least with some of those shows, most of them were 100% origin stories (Gotham, which I enjoyed and Pennyworth, IDK, never watched it) or spinoffs I've heard of: Gotham Girls or The Zeta Project. Or just the Harley Quinn cartoon! But then you have shows that could've been good ideas but were badly executed like Gotham Knights or the first two seasons of Batwoman. I think it got progressively better in season 3. There's also shows like Birds of Prey or Batwheels!?! There's also Arrow, a show I love, that ACTUAL comic book fans immediately see as The CW settling for the Green Arrow because of the Bat Embargo and have him act like Batman. I never watched anything Batman and didn't understand what they were talking about until I started watching Gotham funny enough!

I really don't get this idea of this movie teasing a new Spiderman movie. It seems like your basic Madame Web origin story from her trying to figure out who she is and discovering her powers and how she is connected to the spider ladies that she is the cult leader of. The Spider people were only there to help her discover her powers there are just an after thought. Not really a tease to spider people future film.

Sony should just focus on animted movies for the spider-man franchise
