Good job done nicely sir😉 The 1970s aesthetics is the number one reason to own something like this.. I have a similar deck from a year later (tc-k4) but that one you won't find much info on youtube.. Thanks

Thank you for the kind comment. Yeah, I love the look of the older equipment. I probably won’t ever use it, but it matches the amplifier and tuner I have.

You're best to use a 1kHz reference tape and a device to monitor said frequency to adjust the tape speed. There's a lot of things to check on tape decks to get them to play like they used to but you can just use the line-in of a computer and a free tool.

Thanks for the additional info. I just did this one by ear and listening to the same songs on digital format. Will look in to the free tools 👍🏻

@@retfurb WFGUI is a good tool to start. Of course if you want it to be perfect lab tools like an oscilloscope is needed, but for basic repairs just by ear is fine of course!
