what if I want to just buy that round clamp where I can clamp the view finder to another selfish stick, do I have to be the grip to get that, or does it come in the box of the Sony x3000?

Sony only sells it all with the shooting grip.. I wanted the same thing BUT, now that I have the whole tripod ,I am glad I bought all of it together...

yes but the display I have shown is NOT waterproof, you need to use the old style live view remote amzn.to/2ngEeaW which this mount will accommodate too..

Nice shooting grip but when you recording the lcd screen go in standbye stand. So you must press the button all the time if you want to see video on the lcd screen.

No, it stays on until you turn it off, even when the Action Cam is on but not recording the screen will be on..

Wel with all respect but my experience is that when I turn on live view remote it turn on the action cam. Then I see the video of the camera continuously in the lcd. That's oke. When I begin to record then I see the video also from the action cam but in a view second the lcd screen turns off and you can not see what you are filming. And that is exactly what you want. To see it again then I must press the button. But after a view seconds it turns off again. So I thought that the shooting grip is perfect with a lcd screen to look what you are filming. But that don't work.

You may want to delve deeper into settings..Your live view remote must have a timeout setting that is "on" ... If I turn on my live view remote, it will display an live image of what the camera is capturing until the battery goes completely dead on the remote(which is quite a long time)... My live view display is constantly on(with live capture image) as long as the camera is on...

Great review thanks for taking the time. can you pls share the link for the viewer that you need to purchases separately for the tripod grip? Would be useful instead of using wrist remote and looked at the link for the tripod grip you provided but wasn't 100% sure which one was appropriate for the x3000? Does the tripod monitor run off the x3000 battery? Those little guys burn out fast, I have two and might need to purchase a third. Also when upgrading the card what card would you recommend? Not shooting 4k but I do shoot frequently high speed action. Thx again

Thanks, Here is the link for the memory cards I use on all my Sony cameras..I have never had a corrupt file yet.. ----- amzn.to/2sNAioI The link for the tripod is correct and the live remote has it's own rechargeable power source..The live view remote is part of the X3000 purchase not the tripod..
