I think you made the right choice. Mercedes is the best rated and having owned a Silverado 2500 HD hauling a 32' fifth wheel, I think getting the shorter will make your life easier when you are downtown on gigs as far as parking and unloading. The longer van can hold more but if you factor in length for lift gate, he's going to need a huge parking area to be able to unload. My camping rig was 52' long and it can really put you into some tough places having to deal with that kind of rig length. With his lift gate deployed, he has to be around 30' long or more. All good if you only live at open areas and loading docks but can be tough on small video shoots.

I used to have an F250 with 40' Toyhauler, it was harder with it being a short bed. I got tricked by GPS one time going cross country and ended up on a closed bridge and had to reverse about a mile to turn around. Thank about stress! I opted for the high roof but not the extra high roof. Ryans van is 24' before the lift down. A 10' ramp would make it worse for sure. Most of our downtown has open air parking options. My previous van was already too tall for most garages. I was willing to pay a bit more for a more trustworthy platform. I have not seen too much positive from Rams of the Fords as of late. I would love to support domestic brands, but they just fall short too often. I am not full grip and never plan to be, so a hybrid is what I needed. Thank you for stoping by!

@@PDMokry Ha, ha, yes, I drove my rig down more than a few narrow streets that ended in a T intersection or a tight cul de sac and had to do some ridiculous moves just to get out. Occupational hazard of driving a long rig. Great shoot too, you and guys did a wonderful job with the Venice and the Tokinas. IMHO, the Tokina Vistas are one of the most underrated mid level primes on the market, I've done some tests with them and they hit way above their price point. They are huge and heavy though, definitely for shooting with bigger cameras. If I was going for the Ursa 12K, I would definitely pair that camera with a three lens Vista package. I'm not one of those DPs who needs the six or ten lens package, I mostly shoot a little more polished documentary style so I'm happy with just a 24, 35 and 50 set. I rarely need an 85/105 or a much below an 18 on a FF sensor although an 18 or 16 is super handy on a S35 sensor. Keep up the great Vlogs Piotr, I watch them all.

@@PDMokry I had to do more than one gel coat repair on the sides of my 5th wheel for the same. Especially when pulling in and out of campgrounds but even in urban settings, bushes and tree branches can be a killer. And it's usually too late by the time you hear it, notice it, up high out of range of your mirrors. I don't miss that either!

Really curious how people kit out the Sprinter 2500’s. Been eyeing the 144 High Roof for a while since I think it’s the perfect size for what I do but on paper I always hit that max payload really quickly (camera and G/E). Look forward to seeing your build out!

That is why I went with this version also, the bigger I went, the more it ate into my payload, because the GVWR is 9050 on all the sprinters to skirt DOT.

Amazing video again as usual. Pretty funny because where I am at with video, I have been agonizing over the right hard case to carry all my video gear. Do I really want to spend $500 on a case? Meanwhile you're over here upgrading your $60,000 van. Makes me feel better about pulling the trigger on my little rolling case. ROFL

Buy used on a case! FB marketplace is full of cheap cases. I am very frugal when I buy gear. So I will hunt out a good deal to save. I made myself sick stressing out over which one to choose.

Assuming you are filming these primarily on your Iphone? Would you be willing to share if you use stock camera app or do you do Filmic or another video specific app and any specific settings? Amazing quality from phones these days but am curious how a pro like you might approach it. :)

Great question that is often asked of me. I use my iPhone 13 Max and sometimes add in insta360 when I can. No special apps or settings. The main reason is where my focus needs to be. I am working first, vlogging second. The phone allows for speed and no effort on setting things up. If I started to vlog with my Sony, I would get ripped apart by my pears for focus, WB, exposure and so on. It would distract me from my work also. I started editing on my phone but moved to Resolve for stability. My phone did not like 20min edits. I don’t see myself as a pro, I am always growing and learning from others.
