Been passing up upgrades for the past two years on a note 8, I love my note 8. I want an upgrade but the last two years of iphone and samsung haven't impressed me as much. The moment this releases I'm in with full price down. I've always wanted to enjoy a sony phone that can deliver performance and this one is finally respectable in all areas.

1200 is a bit on expensive side but it will definitely be a good buy looking at the design and features. Sony always increases the excitement but launching it early than releasing it. But now Sony is not available in India don't know how to buy

If it's €1200, according to Google it's £1033.77 when I am writing this, I probably would buy it when it's on sale because Sony phones tend to go on sale rather quickly in the UK. Also I would compare it with Asus ROG phone 3 if it is so expensive. I would prefer Sony to make it more affordable in the UK.

As much as I want Sony to succeed and sell as much phones as they can, in a way i kind of like it that they are not on top like Samsung and Apple. It makes having a Sony feel more special to me lol. I'm still rocking my chrome Xperia XZ Premium and people are always commenting on how cool and shiny it is and asking me what kind of phone is it haha. Sony phones are just so much more classy.

Dont worry about the people complaining about the 8GB ram, those people are always ignorant and hypocrites. When samsung S20 & S20+ has only 8GB of ram. which means it is totally accepted for a flagship device in 2020. And SONY has done the right thing which is againa top tier hardware for a 2020 flagship. I would also like to point out that since XZ premium all sony flaghips have killed the competition in almost all the speed tests and devices with more ram than sony phones. So dont take this complaint seriously.

Sony is repeating its marketing mistake again. 3 months between announcement of the handset and release date guarantees poor interest from potential customers. That's accounts for so little handsets of the Xperia 1 were sold.

I'm planning on getting ether Xperia 10 II or Xperia 5. Price matters to me (Xperia 5 is 540euros here), but also some features. Pixel 3a has better processor that Xperia 10 ii and obviously Pixel 4a will be even more powerful. Looks like Xperia heard too much about poor battery and too little about skimpy performance. Snapdragon 665 in 2020 is just improper processor for a mid-ranger.

It is a 5G variant which means that it has 5G, 4G, 3G and anything below. What was said is there is no cheaper 4G only version, so 4G, 3G etc, as 5G isn't everywhere yet. If you have paid for a 5G phone and there isn't 5G in your area you are using 4G (as your phone uses that instead)- so you paid for something you don't get. Like the S20+ Normal (4G version) costs $X and the s20+ 5G (5G version) costs $(X+200) or something like that.
