Your video guide is very useful to me , i just bought this phone 2 weeks . Even though the phone is feature packed the main reason i got this phone is for the battery care, ultra stamina mode & compact size . I guess i am unique in that i run the phone in ultra stamina mode most of the time ( low user ) with the ability to go full speed if needed . Just as a matter of interest in ultraS mode now, 3.7 days used 2 hours screen time 52% battery & estimate 4 days to go . So far so good . Thanks for all your tips .

I really want this phone; my child-sized hands would work well with it. I don't find the design "dated" at all. I actually like the more blocky/squared off edges and corners. The rounded-off glass slab offerings from Apple, Samsung, HTC, etc. all pretty much look the same to me. Just my preference (as if it matters 😎). It's just so expensive right now. I will wait a few months for them to start showing up on Swappa and maybe pick one up then. My LG G4 isn't aging well anymore.

Me too! I like how different this looks. Stands out from the crowd. I also had an LG G4 and I'm a pretty big LG fan. The G4 bootlooped so I got the G6 and I love it. But I saw this Compact phone in Best Buy and I immediately wanted it. My G6 was still new and worked great so I didn't buy it. My kids have LG Stylo phones. My son's screen cracked so I started researching phones to see what to get him if the touch screen starts deteriorating. The latest Stylo (4) is huge! I hate this trend. Small phones are all really low quality, except this one. I plan on buying one of these, using it myself for a while, and then I'll decide whether I pass down this one or my G6 to my son.

No use in upgrading from my Z3 Compact which came out in 2014 and still powerfull, great battery life, and without a scratch.

The reason I'm watching this video is because the screen on my Z3 Compact randomly decided to start peeling off. I'm hoping I can just fix it though, I didn't even consider buying a new phone until that happened. I've had it for 2 1/2 years. I also hope the build quality on the XZ1C is better than the Z3C because the screen thing that happened to me is apparently somewhat common.

Nils Berg im using an old z2 at the minute because i lost my real phone which was a galaxy note 4 lol, it's perfectly serviceable, charge last a day, battery goes from flat to full in an hour on charge and doesn't perform any worse than the note in every day use. But now I don't have my note 4 I want something newer and I think this xz compact fits the bill nicely. Packs a punch and isn't gonna set me back £700+

Hey! Does anybody know if a set of lenses are available for this device? I'd love to have a wide angle on the main cam too. I really miss this feature on my lg g5, gave it away cause if the poor battery and biggish size. I saw there's a set of lenses for iPhone is there something similar for xz1 compact?

I recently bought the XZ1 compact (pink is a nice colour). I think it is a great value compact phone. But there is one aspect that troubles me a lot. The housing and screen of the phone strongly resonates at some (mid) frequency’s in music and speech. I am surprised how well I can feel the vibrations when I hold the phone in my hands. I also regularly have the listening experience that the sound is distorted by the resonating housing which adds an unpleasant vibration to the sound. Surprisingly none of the reviews I have seen mention this aspect. Is this normal for this phone or should I return this one and buy another one hoping that one does not have that resonating problem.

Yes it's gone, for the 4G i think it's depend on the sim card you use, as long as the phone support 4g and the area has 4g then it's possible as long as your sim card support it.

Double tap to wake and ambient display cause some malfunctions to the display (sometimes multiple taps to wake, not wake at all, ambient error,...) probably in the future update, they will fix it and reintroduce it

Sony xz1 has serious problems with the wifi connection. It still not give a solution after 3 updates. I'm waiting. If it's not... Never again Sony. Also many times crashes the apps
