Hi Adam. Where was this video when I was fumbling through the settings on the ZV-E10? You do such a great job breaking advanced camera into digestible info. The higher shutter speed generally reduces the amount of light allowed in, but when you bumped it up for catalyst, I didn't really see a lower exposure or notice the ISO getting bumped up. If you're in really, really low light, it will make a difference. I've also noticed that a higher shutter speed also helps a lot with active stab just like it does with other types of digital stab. Once again, we are thinking in parallel. One of the ideas I wrote down for my next video was a comparison of stabilization, but I was thinking more in terms of Catalyst vs. Davinci Stabilization. It was just one idea, and I probably won't have time to shoot until next weekend when I don't have Parker.

Hey Tim, I suppose good minds think alike 😂 Thank you for your feedback and thoughts. Thanks for the "Active Stabilization" higher shutter speed tip, never thought of that! Haven't done the day comparison, so I'll thrown that in! Yeah, Final Cut Pro's stabilization probably is not as good as DaVinci Resolve. If I understand correctly, Premiere Pro has a add-on feature to utilize the Catalyst option within their program, but definitely don't want to pay monthly Premiere Pro!

Interesting video Adam ;) I didn't know this Sony technology "Catalyst Browse" It's a stabilization in post production? The internal stabilization is very bad, it makes me think about my Sony ZV1, which I sold as soon as I ordered the pocket 3 :) See you soon in the daylight condition! PEACE!!! 😝

Hi Michael, yep the Catalyst Browse is a Sony program for its cameras since many of the new ones have the gyroscopic data. Actually the ZV1 had the ability to use Catalyst Browse 😂, but it's an extra step to go into each file and process the video which can be time consuming. Good choice on selling the ZV1 to help purchase the Pocket 3 👏

@@TravelingAhn It's not a bad camera, but so difficult about the settings... In comparison with a DJI pocket 3, it's day and night! :)

@@MichaelSouverain Yes, that's very true!

That was a great stabilization comparison! Well done!

Thank you Antonio! We Sony ZV-E10 users have to support each other 😂

@@TravelingAhn So you got the sony ZV-E10 connected to the DJI mic 2 via bluetooth?
@TravelingAhn11 ай бұрын
@@AntzMr yep when I was doing the actual walking back and forth and at the conclusion I used the DJi Mic 2 receiver and transmitter with their automatic suggested audio setting
@AntzMr11 ай бұрын
@@TravelingAhn oh so you still need to use the receiver on the sony ZV-E10? I thought you can connect via bluetooth?
@TravelingAhn11 ай бұрын
@@AntzMr yeah you need the receiver. Of course you can always just record on its own and sync in post, but that’s an extra 2 steps and who has time for that 😂

The gimbal footage looks amazing Adam - one thing I notice compared to the pocket 3 (might make for an interesting video also) is the Ronin footage doesnt seem to have any of the bounce when walking like the pocket 3 does! Curious aside from comparisons, now that you have the pocket, do you think you will still use the Ronin+Sony combo much?
@TravelingAhn11 ай бұрын
Yeah, I think just having a heavier rig with the Sony and Ronin combo helps mitigate the bounce. But the Pocket 3 is just sooooo convenient 😂

I really enjoy how the ZV-E10 footage looks and would probably use it more if the active stabilization wasnt so horrible. Other than for telephoto purposes or if I know I want nice photos on a trip, the Pocket 3 is the daily carry.

Hi Anthony, yep I agree! So you have the Sony ZV-E10 too? I really want to hold on to a mirrorless camera for the photos and talking heads!

Theres definitely still a place for a good mirrorless setup. Excited to see what the ZVe10 M2 brings to the table.
