OMG, Daisey did a phenomenal job. Can’t wait to see what she does next. I have to see anything that Reese is involved in. Taylor Swift is the most talented vocalist, songwriter, musician and storyteller that the world has ever seen. Of course, she nailed Carolina. I feel like I’m there every time I hear it. The director fkin killed this. I love it. Great job by Taylor and the whole cast. Thank you Delia and everyone…Bravo 👏👏👏

Read the book and just saw the movie...AMAZING PERFORMANCE!!! Olivia Newman created a stellar adaptation of Delia Owen's novel. This is how I envisioned the marsh, Barkley Cove and the characters. Thank you Reese Witherspoon for producing this beautiful movie. It captured scenes from the book and translated it to film so beautifully.

It reminds me of Little House on Praire, Melisa Gilbert's Laura Ingals, in terms of simpleness, inner youngness, but difference with loneliness, mature life and romance. The rest is creation of Ms Witherspoon in taste of unique romance and love seeking.

I wanted to hear how people loved it and read what people loved about the book. I’m shocked at how beloved it was. It did seem like a love letter to the scenery which makes sense given the author is a conservationist. I loved the pacing of the book and was definitely engaged and read it quickly but I couldn’t stand how the author info dumped so much. She (the author) would “yadaya” through huge plot points and randomly become omniscient. She also just killed off like SO MANY people right in the end without much effect. I thought she missed the opportunity to talk about the natural decay and life of a marsh when she killed them off at least. Idk I was disappointed. Plus like the other author scandal things which I didn’t know when I started the book…

Loved this ❤️ movie 🎬!!!! Would appreciate them utilizing REAL WOMEN in the lead roles. It pulls focus to have crow magnum can opener jaws, eyebrow ridges, Adam's apples 🍎, traceal shave, and sasquatch feet. Movies need equal opportunity 4 the DNA of humans. Masculine males that are rugged are what real women want to see, not men who r more women than I will ever be......🤮

She got back with the guy who abandoned her, that's pathetic. Isn't that a diss to women, they can't be alone and needs a man? Lol. Movie was mehh, didn't read the book.
@warmcozy2 жыл бұрын
Well, she was isolated and not well socialized which limited her options for human connection. Even so, Tate had to do a lot to get her to even talk to him after he came back. She rejected him after he returned and it was a long time and lots of effort by Tate for them to get back together. That and she had been through jail and the public humiliation of being accused of murder, and Tate was consistently there for her through all of it without expecting anything in return. Looking at how things unfolded with them, I’d say it ended up OK.
@lukelee32 жыл бұрын
@@warmcozy still pathetic, kaya got money after publishing her book and traveling more. so she had many chances. It's More like an auto biography by the author, she feels lonely now in her 70s and will settle for any abuser and she and her ex husband "morally" murdered a poacher in Zambia, like in the book.
@warmcozy2 жыл бұрын
@@lukelee3 Kaya most likely didn’t perceive she had the chances you say she did, and her self-esteem had taken quite a few disastrous hits before she and Tate got back together. I’ve found that well socialized people often have no concept of the lives of those living in isolating circumstances and judge them harshly and incorrectly due to lack of understanding as I believe you’re doing here.
