Dan & Josh, thank you...seriously. I didn't know you guys were making a video about actually using the products. Very informative as always, and Extremelyyyyyyyy happy that the products are helping Josh enjoy his beard. Looks like he is now being sucked into the vortex of the bearded nation lol. Cheers brothers, truly grateful for the support as always! ~Joe

Am I glad you commented. I live in West Haven, and have been dying to know if your place has a store where I can pop in, ask questions and leave with the right stuff for me. I know you guys are a little drive but to be able to smell the products, figure out (other than oil) which other products that I don't currently understand, but might be needing, like apparently I need beard butter, but which type? I would love to support a Connecticut business, plus, as I'm pretty much a newbie, I'm 8 months into my yeard and only decided to make it a yeard a few weeks ago. Sorry for such a long message, but I've been dying to know since I first heard of you guys on this channel a couple weeks ago.

I love these videos with Joshua! it's so great! it's really nice in a strange way to let others know the same exact struggles that they went through, like when Joshua was talking about skin flakes and skin cracking in certain areas under the beard, and that you can feel your skin tightening when you smile and yawn and that it was painful, I had actually used lotions in hopes to combat that, and this was years ago before i knew anything about beard oil. So very education and useful information. I hope Joshua joins you in videos in the future

Such a good informative video! really great for someone with a beard already but unaware of how to take care of it the best way possible. Also really neat to see Josh getting such great info from the best source. As far as the redness on the top of the lip and around the face in general, I completely get that. As soon as puberty hit my upper lip and around the nose was red, sore with some dryness added in. I tried a lot of products over the years and some of it kind of helped. However, when I started growing my beard out and using oils and butters in my beard, that redness and dry patches on my upper lip all but disappeared. Keep using that stuff and I bet it will make a noticeable difference in those areas.

Watching this video took me back to the start of my beard journey in 2017. I was at Walgreens yesterday and I noticed their beard products variety has increased since I started my beard journey. You said something very important, use fingertips to apply oil to face skin. Instead of dropping a full dropper of oil in palm and rubbing together, I drop 1 drop per finger on one hand rub fingertips together only and apply.May take a few applications in this manner. Just seems wasteful in a sense to put it all over the whole hand at once and try to apply to skin. Now if you're looking to apply oil to the beard hair then that process seems to be best,to each their own I guess

Hi Dan, I'm new to growing my beard. I don't think my genetics will be a good factor as I have no hair on my legs, forearms etc. POP didn't have a lot either. I've been looking on line and have seen sites indicating that I could use Rogaine. What are your thoughts on this? I have also seen " beard growth products from companies which usually include bottle of pills with vitamins, different products ( biotin), etc. Again what are your thoughts on these. Do you have a list of the various products you use, especially the Combs. I can imagine you are reluctant to comment on the various companies that provide a line of beard products. But are there any you think I should avoid Like your videos

I don't like product in beard at night. It gets all over my pillow, then over my face. Like going to bed with wet hair.

You are likely using too much product then. Also try putting it in a little before bed, I recommend 30 minutes.

Wait, what? Do not over conditioner your beard but add oils, butters, and balms daily? I am truly confused.
@DanCBearded
@DanCBearded 4 жыл бұрын
Correct. Different types of nourishment. I do not use balms though. Oil and butters absorb into your beard and skin. Conditioners have a lot of properties that coat/seal, and just sit on top of the hair.
