I have been using cloth pads for 3 years and some change and I won't go back ever. I sew my own, and through the initial research I found that there are so much information out there that will help you learn how to care for them easily, and with no mess. I dry store mine in a container (old diaper bin with lid) and when I am done for the week I pour in lots of cold water, and some stain remover detergent and let it sit overnight. The water pulls the blood out of the pads, so in the next morning I tip the water out, and rinse out whatever is left which is often not much at all. Then my washing machine does the rest! I think that this pad you have been testing out has a few design flaws, and it doesn't fit your flow pattern or your body shape.Maybe if you found something that has a different shape and gives coverage to where you need it it will feel more secure. I have heard stories from really heavy bleeders, who would use three of the heaviest reusable night pads at the same time to be safe during their period, but even with that they would leak. After moving into the cloth world and finding the shape that fit them, they are "leak" free. ( I mean there is always that freak accident sometimes am I right? but that's for everyone). I think if you found the right shape for you, you would also like it more :D Btw I appreciated you showing the details rather than skipping that.

My daughter wants me to make her some pads, can you tell me what fabrics you use?

I think you got a batch with odd wings or maybe it’s the company if you look at other pads the wings are different. Maybe your wings were stitched down on accident because most cloth pads have more room in the wings

I’ve just bought my first pack of these, I got some with different sizes. I’m hoping they work out well for me because I’ve seriously had problems with disposable ones, a lot of which apparently are problems that loads of women have and having researched it I’ve found that it could be down to the ones I’m using… So I’m crossing my fingers hoping they stop any and all problems I used to have

I hope it works for you. I haven't used mines in a while, but I think I need to revisit them.

Do not use fabric softener with cloth 😊 cold water when they have been used... warm when you’re prepping them.
