Soos is a great character because he’s not just a punching bag character, he’s legitimately funny and actually helps a lot throughout the series even if he does mess up sometimes.

The dinosaur episode actually explores that. Yeah, Soos is sometimes just the funny background character or punching bag. But he DOES have an important role in the show as a genuine ally to the kids and a sweet, good guy. I was so happy when he both met a woman who loves him for all his sweetness and that he got to live out his dream of inheriting the Mystery Shack.
