Sophie-The Lovely Daughter of two Gay Moms-Speaks

This is an excerpt from a brief interview I did with my niece, Sophie, over the holidays in December, 2011. In August of 2010, my little sister Vanessa married her girlfriend Alaine, who happened to be my best friend. Sophie is Alaine's daughter, and she is an amazing example of what growing up in a non-nuclear family can produce. This has been edited from the previously posted version to come in under 3 minutes.

You're the most amazingly brave young woman Soph. I just watched this video with my Dad, who does not have too many gay people in his life and seeing your vulnerability and honesty melted his heart. It's listening to the stories of open-minded, loving little souls like yourself that tips the scale in favor of humanity, acceptance and understanding. I love you girl. :) So proud of you.
