I bet gay and lesbian parents are arguably the best because they want to prove those who always said they couldn't wrong. These children have excellent families with parents of strong moral values. These families are extremely strong.

No but when everyone tells you that you can't or its not right, you feel the need to prove them wrong. I know parenting doesn't matter between same sex or not. But apparently it matters in society.

Bravo! So proud of these sons and daughters speaking up about LGBT parents being no different than straight parents. The new generation is showing us the way to a more progressive, equal future and I'm so glad.

I love how conservatives only focus on negative cases without looking at the positive and say "Yep this one case proves that gay couples should not have children." It's idiotic in all ways. Of course there will be bad with the good. I can easily turn it around and say gay kids have suffered at the hands of straight parents and straight people shouldn't have children. But we don't look at it that way for the most part. We focus on having a family to raise and love you, and those with bad experiences turn it into good ones by helping homeless lgbt, adopting unwanted children, etc...

+Alex Ross Yeah you can turn arguments around and say this or say that and do whatever. Let me give you one case for saying gay couples show not have children: Nature does not allow them to bring a child into the world by themselves. A promotional video is nice but it does not explain the vast amount of people who will be searching for their real mother or father. And many will.

Okay smarty, what about adopting, in vitro, etc... Nature doesn't mean shit. What about infertile parents? Divorced parents? That's a fallacy in itself. I am friends with multiple adopted children, and I am adopted myself. We've had plenty of discussions, but all in all we are happy and don't wish to find our "real" parents.

Alex Ross Any child that is adopted can thank their lucky stars that they have someone willing to take them into their family. However, this does not erase the underlying tragedy that has led to this situation in the first place. Sme tragic event has led to a child being in an orphanage - parents died, single mother (abandoned by the father) couldn't cope and gave up their child, etc. etc. It's a great thing that adopted parents exist. It's tragic that they have to. And regardless of what you want in life (I am glad you are happy) - the truth is - many people go through life with a gaping hole in their hearts wondering what the truth is.

No matter what ever we do.... Every single thing in the world has both... A good and a bad side. But when its about family.... According to me you don't need parents also sometimes.... Any number of individual can construct a family.... It is us who say that we need a mom, a dad, a sister, a brother, grandparents, friends, aunts and uncles... Etc. I believe a family only needs love.... But to accept a family like I said that doesn't fit into the society's definition of family..... Is really challenging.

How do you approach teens and preteens that are free for adoption and in the foster care system to the idea of a same sex couple being their forever family?

These are words from children who can only trace one side of their maternal history back. The other half knows nothing but blank. So their fight is their blank beginning to be recognised. Kids borne out of heterosexual couples fall into their long line of both parents family history which makes them know who and where they come from. When you don't know where you come from it makes you question nature with anger.
