Happy Birthday! I was in Singapore a few months ago. We stayed in the Fairmont Hotel, which is above the Raffles shopping centre 😀 We could see the Raffles Hotel from our window and we could observe the queue to the Long Bar 😂 When it was short we could go for our Singapore Sling 😀

Happy belated birthday Sophie and you both look so happy. Yes the Long Bar associated with Raffles hotel developed the Singapore Sling decades ago and when we went to the lounge it had large, slow swinging fans that added to the ambiance. Also when we stayed at Raffles, some suites were named after famous people and I can remember two suites called after Ava Gardner and W. Somerset Maugham.

Enjoy Singapore! You look like you are having loads of fun! Whenever I go to Singapore, I always stay at the Raffles. Their service standard is very high and facility is immaculate. You guys should try this hotel when you revisit Singapore. Oh and they also give you a voucher for their bar so you can have their famous Singapore Sling on the house! 🎉
