Hello.
Together with Korean percussionist So Ra Kim, Jung Gi has been prepping for this performance. Sadly, Jung Gi was unable to finish all of the drawings for the performance. Since then, So Ra Kim and I have been working on this project with the help of a large number of musicians and Production BUD.
We are now prepared to present this lovely performance that So Ra Kim, other traditional Korean musicians, and the aesthetic universe of Jung Gi produced.
On December 28, 2022, at 7:30 p.m., the public will be introduced to this performance at the National Theater of Korea in Jangchung-dong.
All of the fans of Jung Gi who are grieving over his leaving can perhaps find some solace in this performance. I believe we will
All of the fans of Jung Gi who are grieving over his leaving can perhaps find some solace in this performance. We will undoubtedly feel quite sad, though.

A panorama of life flows like a flash. Through the waves of emotions like joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure, all we needed was peace and love. Until that day comes, the art will continue.

It took me a while to figure out how to communicate how I felt about the death of Kim Jung Gi. If you'll permit me, dear reader, I will now do my best to explain how I feel, and to the small handful of you that indulge me by reading this, I thank you for your patience. I read the celebrity deaths on Wikipedia most days. I don't know why I do exactly, maybe it's a subconscious way for checking to see if people roughly my age are starting to die off. So far, I haven't had too much to worry about. Most names don't mean much to me. A scientist here, a diplomat there. There's lots of actors I've never heard of, a few I know fairly well and the occasional one I'm a fan of. The death of actors I like stings a bit. It means no more brilliant films with them, however film making is so far from what I once loved these days, it's not really so huge a loss. The same goes for musicians. There's ones I know of and then ones I like and occasionally, ones I love. Their deaths are sad but it's usually been a long time since they've released the music I love the most. Their deaths genuinely make me sad for as long as they yet live, the possibility exists, remote as it is, that more music I love will be gifted to the world by them. Then there's there's someone like Kim Jung Gi. I woke up and started my morning routine. I noticed a portrait of Kim Jung Gi on the front page of Reddit and thought to myself, isn't that peculiar? I carried on with my morning routine but as I ate my bowl of oats, that portrait was scratching away at a part of my brain like a cat on the wrong side of a door. I thought to myself, no, this can't be the reason. I flipped to the Celebrity Deaths 2022 Wikipedia page in my phone's browser. It's the first page in the cascading stack of perpetually open web pages that I tell myself I'll return to some day. I scanned the list and I heard the spoon of hot oats smash into the bowl with an unholy clatter. There, between Tiffany Jackson, 37, American Basketball Player and Johann Müllner, 90, Austrian farmer and politician was his name. I was so fixated on it that I'd lost track of eating and the spoon had slipped from my grasp. Dear reader, I was dumbstruck. Of course, the Reddit portrait made sense now. In the time between me going to sleep on Sunday night and waking up Monday morning, Kim Jung Gi had died. If I'm being candid dear reader, Kim Jung Gi interested me, but I wasn't a rabid fan. Whenever this channel posted a new video featuring him, I'd get around to watching it, eventually. If he had visited my city, I'd have been interested in seeing him work, but not if it cost too much to go. I'd have been thrilled to have received a book of his art, but I wouldn't have purchased such a luxurious item for myself if the cost rose too far past a certain nebulous line in my mind. I suppose what I'm trying to say dear reader is that I was a fan, but not a fanatic yet his death really stung me. My heart hurt when I saw his name on that list. But, dear reader, why? It took me a while to assemble the scattered pieces of that puzzle in my mind. I think, dear reader, it's because an artist like Kim Jung Gi gives more to a vast group of people than almost any other celebrity can. What is one amazing movie or a single hit song compared to hundreds or thousands of beautiful drawings? What is a four minute interview about a new TV show compared to a thirty minute video on how to better use watercolour paint? That interview goes in one ear and out the other but those hard won lessons on how to draw, or paint, or think about art and creating, those get internalized. If you try to apply the advice, in some tiny way, it gets branded on your mind. What is a good TV Show compared to a river of art that just flowed and that we could drink from at any time to quench our thirst for beautiful, wondrous things? I don't know why dear reader, but I had expected that river to flow and even churn with activity for years to come and one Monday morning, a few months ago, I awoke to find out the river had been cut off at its headwaters and would never run again. I appreciate your patience dear reader as you join me on this impromptu therapy session as I try to expunge some of the grief that still lingers within me over the death of this marvellous man. Artists like Kim Jung Gi give so much to so many. Unlike many musicians and actors who's work I admire, Kim Jung Gi was in his prime and was regularly giving wonderful art to the world to enjoy. Every new piece posted to Instagram, every new video shared on this channel, every fascinating piece I'd never seen before, all of it was just this constant river of generosity and that was taken away from myself and the world never to return. I believe I've already said too much dear reader, so allow me to thank you for indulging me. I wish you and your loved ones good health, happiness and a wonderful Christmas as I write this on the 20th of December. Perhaps, some day, a collection of unseen drawings or sketches by Kim Jung Gi will be found, and published and for one brief moment, that mighty river will run again.

I feel the same as you when this happened, It was really unexpected and caught me off guard but Im glad we still have his lessons and videos of him still around in the internet. He taught me to see the world differently, cherish every moment and communicate thru just ink and paper. I'll always remember him as my mentor and strive to do the same as an artist that inspires people

Beautiful comment. I had the same experience when hearing about his death. It was a gray October day. It was beginning to rain and the subtle drumming pattern of rain drops could be heard in the background. I was sitting on the bed looking outside as the wind picked up further. My girlfriend who also follows KJG on Instagram told me the news. I felt a deep hole in my chest. I felt like a hollow shell. I could hear my heart beat. She hugged me while I was just sitting there speechless. I was a really huge fan of his work. I felt like I lost a true friend that day. I have two of his artbooks, and they are both dear books of mine, that I look through almost every single day. I also saw most of KJG livestreams when the pandemic was at its worst in 2020-2021 and KJG kept me company in those lonely months. I will never forget him. He inspired me and showed me that nothing is impossible. He poured his soul and heart into drawing and was a fantastic human being. Such people like him you'll only ever get to experience once in a lifetime. And Im lucky that I did.

The studio fully plans to release more works and no doubt collated sketch books as well as he has a mountain of unpublished works. We will still be seeing "new" art from him for years to come I suspect.

I actually always use to doodle in a similar fashion but with shapes and patterns, not with characters and stores in pictures --i limit my imagination. But teachers didn’t help explore em either, i use doodle and draw Kirby and do like this flip book things with my notebook and i use to doodle on my work assignments and homework drawing sonic and Kirby ehh school defiantly kills creativity but i hate how i use to draw for hours on end as a kid but now i don’t I wished i never stop drawing and that I was as good as Kim Jung GI
