🇬🇾 Sorrel Cake Recipe 🇬🇾

Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1 1/4 cup Sugar
1 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Sorrel Fruit
6 Large Eggs
1 1/2 TBSP Red food coloring
1/2 TBSP Nutmeg
1/2 TBSP Orange Zest
1 1/2 TSP Ginger Powder
2 TSP Baking Powder
2 TSP Essence
1/2 TSP Salt
Bake at 340 °F for 1 hrs.

This looks beautiful! Question for you: Can I use fruits that I already have for guyanese fruit cake that I set a year ago and just mix that with the sorrel purée?

Yes you can, but you’ll still have to cook it on the stove with your sugar and sorry purée

Is orange zest the same as orange rinds or grated orange skin??
