Some don't take into consideration the sugar from the wine and fruits. I always add 1/4 cup less sugar. I love her method

Do you know when adding the fruit to the Mixture you are supposed to Mix it in with a wooden spoon or spatula. Your Mixer gets burned out when you mix it with the Mixer. That amount of Mixture needs More fruit

I'm not sure what you said the butter is equivalent to. 454 grams is 6 grams over a pound, LB but you can say it's a lb of butter which is 16 OZ

Hi Nadine, try baking your cake at 280 degrees, and you will see the difference. I used to bake mine at 350 degrees until I saw a video with a lady who said to try 280 degrees. Yes, it will take longer to bake, but the final result is amazing. Just a suggestion blessings always.
