Normally guests on chat shows are open and seem content to answer trivial questions; like "are you a fan of word games?"; but here Peter Serafinowicz refuses to answer; becomes passive/ aggressive and tells the host to mind his own business. It's really character driven humour; he often plays obnoxious characters and is quite good at that; him being voted the funniest comedian (by his nan) is just to allow a bad pun (polls/ Poles) I don't think it's true; but I find it funny the way Peter Serafinowicz made things seem sinister suddenly and it's more the way he said it rather than what he said (his delivery) that was genius. Abdicates is a nine letter work; it means to give up authority ... I don't know if it was aimed at Jimmy but it's delivered in the same deadpan fashion; Jimmy obviously decides it's better to leave it there. I thought it was brilliant comedy.
