Do not flow GPS, it can get you into trouble and you find out you have a 12'6" Bridge or a bridge that doesn't allow trucks that have 78,000 pounds. GPS can get you into trouble and you find out you have a ticket waiting for you. If the GPS tells you to get off here and your on a interstate, don't get off. I've been there and had low bridges, bridge weights and learned alot. Don't go to TranAM College.

Your truck needs a bigger turbo. Have Cleetus McFarland hook you up with some twin turbskies !!! And stop listening to the GPS w/o checking the route 1st. I have had mine take me off the highway, go 3-4 miles, then put me right back on. WTF ?? Did it again the next time I was in the same spot but I just ignored her. Always look at the overall trip before you head out. Sometimes you know a better route. Keep On Truckin' kid. You're doing great !!!

Alex as a former Hot-Shot Owner and Driver, I can tell you that waiting it out and not traveling into situations that put you, the truck, and others at risk is ALWAYS the right thing to do. Absolutely NO FREIGHT is worth your life or risk damage to a vehicle. Alternate routes are not always the best either. The Garmin you are using is designed for cars and pickups, it doesn't really have dedicated truck routes like the truck specific GPS systems do. I used the Overdryve 7 it's pre-loaded with all truck routes as well as alternates including road restrictions for trucks and will automatically detour you around non ideal truck routes. You stay safe and keep doing what your doing. Love this channel

The scale houses will tell drivers if they’re not experienced with Wyoming to stick to 80. Generally if 80 is closed, others remain open unless it’s just a whiteout. I used to make trips from Pocatello to Gillette, 2 times a week with f350 and 35 foot gooseneck. Fun trip in the winter! Transported trucks for Ford dealers. Hopefully Alex doesn’t have to experience South Pass in the winter.

I don't say this to be mean or anything but you have ALOT to learn about trucking lol. Telling your managers all those places you don't want to run is going to have them looking at you like "well if he won't run here or here, where can we send him?" And they'll probably only give you small runs...and don't follow your GPS instructions down to a T. You gotta trip plan better dawg. And I know you are still a beginner at this but just be careful with some of the decisions you make. I will admit tho the BEST decision you have made (even if it costs you 6 days of sitting on a load) is being safe cause that's what it all comes down to is your safety. Just also know being TOO SAFE is a way to not make money in trucking if you get what I mean. Otherwise keep doing ya thing and learning how trucking goes 💯
