The reason why the interactiond are so fun is mostly because they all are jerks. I like them but everyone of the mains is a self absorb jerk. Aqua being arogant and selfish while putting points in useless skills, Darkness that mostly cares about her fetish and megumin that flat out refuses to learn anything usefull and kazuma that is the least of a jerk but still can be a jackass in some aspects. But because they all are idiots and somewhat selfish they work so well togheter because they all have personality and friction. They always have trouble finding a job all want to do for example.

no one is jealous of Megumi explosion magic. explosion magic is defined in konosuba as the magic of demons who have too many skill points and nowhere to put it and complete morons. the spell is ban in all cities can`t be used on a forest and several environments. adventure hate it because money is made by selling monster parts. i can go on and on but the point has been made.

I think the reasoning behind it is that Aqua's luck is literally 0 so they cancel each other out or end up being unlucky.

The incantations are just for show. She doesn't really need to say anything to actually do the move, but the setup makes her happy. Though I think in one of the LN, they addressed that she only knows one type of explosion move and only that one.
