I love how you wrapped this up. I truly believe aggressive skating is uniquely technical and artistic. There’s a lot of athleticism and biomechanics going on but its somehow remained a free form mode of expression for so many people. Part of me feels like I’m biased but I really do believe aggressive skating holds a uniquely important place in sport and art. Thanks for making these great videos!

Aggressive inline is more of an art form then a sport. Hard as hell to do. ( at least it is for me ) but it makes me happy doing it. Little by little. I am coming back after a 25 + year break and I do not even dare to do a frontside grind anymore, trying to build up the confidence to get them down again but my body is much bigger then when I last skated. But I will get there. Respect to you and your videos 📹

I was practicing soul grinds this AM on a similar ledge and started realizing the same thing, point and look where I’m going and I was staying on longer.. same with my Royales. Thanks for tips even tho I’ve got experience, these tips are still intelligent and useful!

Yep, I think this is one of the reasons the soul grind is my safety grind and the grind I do best -- because I do turn my shoulders and look down the obstacle. I need to train myself to start taking this approach with all grinds. It's harder for me to turn my body when doing a royale, or unity or something like that.

I’m relearning to blade and starting with basics and I’m always doing that 180 because of your vids. You’re right they keep your body rotating towards the end of the ledge and plus it looks much cooler

Happens the same with the golf swing. Bending your knees allows you to rotate better.

This was great. Even being somewhat a seasoned blader, I’m not sure I’ve put focus on this. Although I think I mostly do it instinctively at this point, I’m goin to put a greater emphasis on it to see how it works out. Makes a lot of sense. Good stuff. Boot on brotha!

How do you figure out where you need to keep your eyes at when grinding? Do you watch your feet the entire time? Do you wash your feet until you lock and then face down the way you’re going? It’s a little worrisome to trust my feet to lock in as I’m learning I feel if I don’t watch my feet, I’m gonna bust my ass more, any input is appreciated
@larryjonn1973

Sure youve figured it now but for anyone reading this, i found what works for me is to look where i want to lock and as i lock In look where I want to go i.e end of obstacle
