Spent an hour following the instructions in this video, and now I can finally grind! Although it’s only for like a couple seconds, I made so much progress from this, thank you bro! 🔥

Anyone else notice at 5:54 how while he's explaining the grind, in the background, another version of him is also talking to people in the background? This is proof that if you know how rollerblade, you also know how to transcend time and space.

Same man. I’m a week in from 20 years off and let me recommend doing a lot of squats first. Your body will remember what to do but your muscles might not comply when you go to jump on 😂
@ryn_pail Жыл бұрын
I second the leg work. Started skating again in 2021. But after 20 years off, I realized so much loss of strength and control in mid-squatted grinds (and even more in jump height) that I needed to do serious work on building back my legs though serious gym exercise. My mind still thought it had "muscle memory", but the body disagrees. To the point that I broke a rib trying to clear a planter box that was suddenly in my way, lol. Broke a wrist after a grind with wheel-bite as well. *Pro tip* Wear atleast a wrist guard on your dominant hand if you work for a living. Meanwhile, enjoy your time back.

Miszou is easiest for me because you can just roll off, if you miss your front foot on a soul and catch your wheels you can trip yourself up. Nice review though 👊

Thank you for this!!! I'm about to invest in my very first pair of Aggressive Inline Skates (the Roces M12) and this video is going to help me immensely. I'm still relearning how to inline skate after years of not being on them, but once I get comfortable in them and things then I will progress to my new skates.

Could you make a video of grinding on another type of skate? inline roller skates
@pikinachu9850 Жыл бұрын
You need to purchase aggressive inline skates. Normal roller blades are not suited for grinding.

I always thought Frontside was the easiest. I actually have a hard time locking in my back foot on a soul, especially on anything round. I took a major shin injury on a sharp edge one time, four stitches.
@wingdingdmetrius8025 Жыл бұрын
Frontside and soul are both good choices for 1st trick. If you are struggling to lock on round objects it's because you are not getting directly on top of the object. Anyone skating ledges should be wearing kneepads and shin guards.
