This video was performed on the band members cell phones, and then edited together on Microsoft Clipchamp. Its a very DIY video with glitches and all. Enjoy :D
BIO:
Founded in 2022 by Vocalist/Pianist Chase Baldwin and Bassist/Guitarist Ben Jacobs in Fargo, ND, The Lucidia Project is a band that fuses alternative metal with elements of symphonic metal, doom metal, progressive/atmospheric rock and indie singer-songwriters.
Characterized by melodic lead vocals juxtaposed with harsh vocals, piano melodies, poetic and introspective lyrics, heavy riffs and lush string arrangements. The band also brings heavy atmospheric elements to their sound. In 2022 the band released their first self titled demo, which saw the songs In the Fray and Lights out garner independent radio play. Chase and Ben collaborated further on a new EP titled The Requiem EP in 2023, which saw the band gain press attention and additional radio play for their songs Requiem and Eventide. This EP also developed their sound further, fusing together metal with indie/alternative influences in a more coherent way.
The Lucidia Project later welcomed the additions of Chris Polasky (rhythm guitar) and Daniel Williams (Lead Guitar) in 2023, and together, they wrote and recorded a new single titled Soul Killer, which features a more mature and refined evolution on the bands sound.
Co produced by Danny Meyer, and mixed/mastered at Sunway studios in Germany, Soul Killer officially released on May 10th 2024.

How come with 5k+ subs, this video gets only 170 views and SIX LIKES???

We did a promo campaign with KZbin studio/Google ads, and this is just the way the algorithm has treated us unfortunately. It's not just us it has happened with many independent creators across many different platforms.

So in other words, your subscribers count doesn't always mean that your videos are shown to every subscriber. Old school KZbin use to be like that. We are in the era of Tik Tok algorithms and shorts now. It's going to change, cause algorithms change based on whatever trend is happened, but it puts a channel like ours in an awkward spot where we have the subscriber numbers (through advertising) but our engagement is low. Sigh... It's a work in progress. Hope that answers your questions.

@@thelucidiaproject Yeah... I get you... I have a channel called "El hombrecito del Campanario" where I write, I make the music, videos, pictures etc etc for more than 2 years now, with almost 200 videos, and I got 90 subs!! Lol! Jesus! Love what you guys do! 🤟

​​@@invay69it's hard! And nobody I feel has really cracked the code. I mean to this video for example, during an old schoo era, because we are getting comments and some likes, and engagement, this video would start to get traction... It really isn't that way anymore. Now the only way to really gain any kind of traction is to make your content "engaging" (such a vague and subjective term) and to make a short 10 to 15 second clip with the right headline and hashtag use Even then, you aren't guaranteed anything. We HAVE seen growth and even got the backing of a label (we will announce it here officially in the coming weeks), but it always feels like a constant battle with the AI on this platform. I'm sorry your channel is having a hard time too... I'll go check it out, and thank you for liking our music! THAT is very much appreciated!
