I have literally no idea who I want to main in this game. I'm staring at the character select screen going over every one of them and just thinking "That dude's got great [X] but not good [Y]" ... "That dude's got great [Y] but not good [Z]" .... "That dude's got great [Z] but not good [X]" ... and get utterly nowhere.

Basically, try out everyone in practice mode, and see which one you like. I'm a vet of the series, and that strategy worked for me
