hey its been awhile since i watched ur myth of empires videos! really enjoying soulmask, it reminds me of myth of empires alot hahaha. the mine exploitation is a later game feature in the desert and volcano biome, where u can find a mine exploitation site, repair it then assign a tribesman to it. u will gain minerals like iron ore etc from it.

Thanks for doing this mate! 😊 sounds like you're enjoying it! And hope to see more content soon! I'm litrally hooked on this game right now, playing it everyday lol. The exploitation part, not played around with it too much, but it's where you can assign a tribesmen to, for example, mine iron ore, and deliver it to a chosen storage. I've read iron or is a tad different and can't be harvested the normal way, and it requires a specific building to be able to mind with npcs. You can still mine it yourself, but tribesmen might not. Again, not tested this 100% myself yet 😅

Nice videos for Soulmask. Really enjoyed the one showing how to build the base. By the way you can unlock the entire technology tree eventually (even solo) by finding ancient tablets on walls and on other things, usually hidden.

Massive as early access, I don't know if they are going to add much more for release but just fine-tuning some stuff should be enough for release

I agree. There would be some additions I'd love to add mainly a few little QoL issues like having the names you set for the boxes written on them. I mean you can use plates. Also a little modification for the overlap in the building system to allow for slightly more creative building. Some things can overlap like fences, foundations etc but walls cannot. Also adding a weapon you can use that does less damage maybe a % of your damage to be able to deter npcs when you are max level. One shotting npcs is kinda annoying. However you can just keep an NPC low rank and not level it at all and do it that way.

The item sorting is probably my favourite feature I spend way too many hours in games fixing up my boxes haha

I tried it for a few hundred hours. Pvp is far too punishing as well as raiding. It feels like it was designed as a PVE game, and since PVP was never enabled during playtesting it just feels like PVP mode is an afterthought. The amount of janky bugs people can use to grief people in PVP mode is absurd (for example you can throw spears through buildings to kill npcs). PVE is fun, but the PVP mode is just pain and suffering. The combat is simply too unbalanced with the ability to be stagger locked until you die with 0 diminshing returns.

Yea I have heard thats the case. I havent PvPd too much to be honest. I went on the other day and kept getting kicked from the server. So gave up trying it myself properply. The devs have said this Early Access is to finalize PvP before the release. So maybe they just wanted to do it in steps which can be good sometimes. Hopefully all that gets fleshed out because I actually quite like the game.

This is pretty much a good enough summary of the game. As a PvE game its good just like Valheim or similar games. PvP has a lot of rework to do.

Me too at the moment actually. Will see well it goes getting into the end game. So I can decide them if I like it more. But so far I haven't put it down
