This version of the song is by Etta James from 1960 and for me, in this recording Angelina, at 9 years of age, makes one of her most beautiful interpretations, which is absolutely not out of place with the original, on the contrary, so full of emotion and vocal warmth to leave completely amazed and enraptured and she makes one of her most beautiful interpretations. Furthermore, the scenography, with those large images, places her so small in the focal center and helps wonderfully to believe that she floats on her voice. She is another thing, with Angelina there is the emotion, the sensibility and the infinite pleasure of listening to her slowdowns of the song. After winning Norway's Got Talent, the offers came flooding in, for record deals and for requests to perform. Angelina's family turned down all the record deals and gave preference to events, like this one, which raised money for charity. The holiday season of 2014, shortly before Angelina turned 9 years old, was especially busy for charity events, including this one. Angelina did my favorite version of this song at age 9 in concert. Angelina was 9 years old here (Pro Tip: Angelina was born in early 2006 so you can do the math from the date of the video -- Oct 10, 2015). This was of course a fundraising event for children -- the barefoot princess is a major humanitarian esp. for children. What a masterful performance and great reaction!🙏

@@BarrySowder Because the charity "Bli Plan-Fadder" took place in Norway in 2014 - and I watched it on TV - in 2014. The program "TV2's Artistgalla" (where Angelina performed) was recorded on Nov 6th 2014 and aired Dec. 13th of that year.

Hi, Adrianna, I have listened to this so many times that I have lost count, and every time I have tears in my eyes. That second "You smiled" from her has those tears overflowing. Que Sera There is an Italian phrase that sums up what lies ahead for Angelina Jordan, "Que Sera" (What will be.). AJ is not like the Boy Bands created by Simon who fizzle out as quickly as they appear, she is gifted unlike any other vocalist, her ability to hypnotize us and have us hang on every wonderful word, or phase is genius to say the least. Her genius goes far beyond jazz to encompass all popular genres, I can foresee her having hit songs in 3, or 4 genres at the same time.

It’s so hard to explain. The profound beauty in Angelina’s voice, ever present but pronounced in certain performances, elicits a reaction that is almost instinctual… impossible to suppress. Although it’s often manifested by the listener crying, I think a Yiddish word pinpoints a description of the feeling… “verklempt.” Wonderful reaction. ❤️

Thanks for a beautiful reaction to my favorite artist in the world 🙂 She was 9 here, but that doesn't really detract anything from what she did here 🙂 We can hear that her voice is quite a bit on the rusty side, and I'm not totally sure if Angelina was too happy with her performance...LOL It sounds as if she was going into a cold or was just recovering from one.
