Police Arrest Elderly Black Lady With Dementia. Then This Happens

Officer Kyle Jacobs is on patrol when he spots a suspect attempting to flee, or at least that what he thinks is happening. When he begins questioning the lady, she is incredibly confused. Officer Jacobs however, interprets her confusion and evasion and decides to detain her anyway. When backup arrives, Sgt. Yvonne Williams witnesses Officer Jacobs detaining what turns out to be her own mother.

My grandma kept thinking i'm my Dad, who's dead. Last straw was when she wandered off to Redhill market where her shop was. It was demolished years back. We sent her to a nursing home, because it was the best choice. 24/7 taken care of. And it ain't cheap.The nurses described her as "naughty". Even the nurse asked me if i'm actually her son. Wtf?... look at our age difference. How is that even possible? She passed at 103 years old. No one was particularly sad. I mean.... c'mon man. At that age, any form of death is a natural one. Even if a stingray crawls all the way there and stabs her in the chest.

But as a corrections officer myself, one of the things im seeing during the dialog between the officers alone with the sergent using "community service" to get compliance is what we in the field call 'extortion.'
