My high school band teacher would have thrown an absolute fit of she saw us wackin the side of the marimba or xylo... awesome sounds but it does make me cringe just a bit knowing how the instruments work.

In our music class for 'piano', we had to play headphones in as too many playing in one room, but as long as it looked like we were playing classical piano, the teacher didn't need to know about the backing beats and other effects being used - was on electric keys

So cool but I feel so bad for whoever who had to edit the sound. They got so much louder by the end of this and you can hear because the snare starts to get a better sound and the vibes start to have the little bit of clash. Still sounds super nice though.

@@KaboomPercussion For real, marimbas are just so large that they are so annoying to pick up highs and lows and drumsets are so hard to mic up without a ton of mics.
